Erica Garner, an activist for civil rights and against police brutality, passed away after a massive heart attack. Way too young at age 27.

Rose Marie, perhaps best known for playing Sally Rogers on The Dick Van Dyke show. 94 years old.

She was great on that show. I can also recall my grandfather telling me years ago what a terrific child singer she was as Baby Rose Marie.

I always liked her. She just seemed so down to Earth and not diva-ish for someone who was a big child star. What a long career she had. How many today can say that they once performed at the night club of legendary gangster Bugsy Siegal

How many today have even heard of Bugsy? It might have been earlier, but I believe the first time I heard of him was on The Gangster Chronicles back in '81.

True. I used to like to read about the gangsters of that era. He staked out his territory on the west coast and was the one to get Las Vegas started as an entertainment mecca. He was one of the inner circle of Murder Inc. It just struck me as a bit wacky that he had a little child like Rose Marie to perform at his clubs

I read a few of the alphabet books years ago and enjoyed them.

France Gall died today at the ages of 70 after a Wort year struggle with cancer.
The French singer with a career lasting more than 30 years, including winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1965 and recording two duets with Elton John, is today best remembered for her tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, "Ella elle l'a" (a pun, obviously, "elle l'a" means "she's got it"):

Donnelly Rhodes, whose myriad TV credits included Battlestar Galactica and Soap, died on Monday at the Baillie House Hospice in Maple Ridge, B.C. after a battle with cancer, CTV reports. He was 80. He played the gambler who accused the Sundance Kid (Robert Redford) of cheating at the beginning of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

While I probably saw him on either It Takes a Thief, Insight, or (99.9% sure) Run, Joe, Run during the first half of the '70s, it was Soap where I put the name with the face. Always good, I think I liked him best on Da Vinci's Inquest which I have been following the past few years. He looked very frail the last time I saw him for the first Arrowverse crossover with Supergirl, so the news about his death wasn't, unfortunately, that surprising to me.
