So while it was tough, it wasn't drawn out. In addition... If you had seen her on the day before that Friday, you would have said "This dog will live another twenty years."
Sorry for your loss. I can certainly empathize with you, having had to deal with that a few years ago.

As a fellow veteran, I had nothing but respect for Senator McCain, even if I never agreed with his politics. Rest In Peace, sir.

I can't escape the gnawing feeling that we've lost more than we understand with Senator McCain's passing. Even tho I often disagreed with his position, I have no doubt he put country first, even at his own expense sometimes. I fear that none of us may live long enough to see his like again in The American Capitol.

Some of my favorite films came from his typewriter. At 91, he had a grand run. RIP.

Two great losses, one for our country's culture and other who served our country with honor and dignity.

Eddie Willis, of the Motown Records house band, the Funk Brothers, has died. Eddie was 82.

He was the group’s electric guitarist during the Sixties and Seventies.

Eddie died from complications related to polio.

Eddie was born in Grenada, Mississippi.

He performed on many of Motown’s best known songs, including ‘Please Mr. Postman’ (The Marvelettes), ‘The Way You Do the Things You Do’ (The Temptations), ‘You Keep Me Hanging On’ (The Supremes), and ‘I Was Made to Love Her’ (Stevie Wonder) amongst others.

And on the same day, Gary Friedrich, who co-created the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider, passed away.

I met her once and she was as nice as everyone who knew her said she was.

Sad to hear that another talent from Marvel's Silver Age has passed away. Like just about everyone in the Marvel Bullpen back then, Stan gave her the alliterative title of Mirthful Marie Severin. I don't know if we'll ever know for sure everything Marie did. Certainly she did a lot of work as a colorist for Marvel, house ads, etc. and her work on Marvel's comedy title, Not Brand Echh and various covers.

And she was really good at doing celebrity likeness, ith a lot of good examples shown here in CBR's Brian Cronin's tribute to her

I'm sure heaven is a little more mirthful with Marie there.
