    Default PREVIEW: Cyclops, #12

    • If power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, whaddaya think near-infinite cosmic power granted by the Black Vortex does?
    • Jean Grey is about to find out, which spells very bad news for both Jean Grey-- and the universe!
    • But there's one man who might be able to stop her, who might be able to save her... except in this case it's not exactly a man, it's a 16-year-old space-pirate-in-training and (maybe) the love of Jean Grey's life... Scott Summers.
    • Can Cyclops save the day? Maybe. But we can't guarantee he'll survive the experience.

Was this a Terry Pratchett reference?

On the good side, another Cyke issue! On the bad side, the last Cyke issue.

Eh its been bad for awhile anyway. The last arc was reminding me too much of space adventure novels I used to read. Cyke was just molded into a generic could be anyone hero. I feel like young Cyke should be written to give off an Ender Wiggin vibe.

Really going to miss this series. Going to miss the space adventures, the father/son moments, and stories about a Cyclops who hasn't yet been corrupted by cosmic forces or revolutions. I wish there would be one more issue that gave it a property send-off, but if it can help make the Black Vortex story more awesome then I think it'll cement this book's legacy.

It's been a fun ride. I'm really sad it's over BUT I hope this will be a huge finale!
Gotta love Corsair. He stole a shuttle from Voyager to rescue Tyke et al!

I love that the artist loves Star Trek ships.

Which makes it about the one worthwhile contribution Voyager has EVER made.

Voyager gave us great things like 'Deadlock', 'Scorpion', and 'Year of Hell'. Just like every Star Trek series, it was more good than bad IMHO.

Just like Voyager, Tyke's space adventures are coming to an end as he, presumably, rejoins the O5 and goes back to Earth. Pity.

The only "good" you can say about Voyager is that it wasn't Enterprise.

I really hope there is a proper ending for the series in this issue since I'm not really following Black Vortex.

I enjoyed the last 2 seasons of Enterprise... but this isn't the thread for Trekkies...

Layman said he didn't get to end the series as intended thanks to the Vortex issue being the final issue. I think #11 served as a good ending to Tyke's space saga, though.
