    Default Batman New 52 story arcs chronologically (roughly)?

    I'm looking for a (chronological) list of all (major) story arcs/events for Batman in The New 52 up until now.

    My list is as follows:

    • Night Of The Owls;
    • Death Of The Family;
    • Requiem (Following the death of Damian Wayne);
    • Zero Year;
    • Trinity War -> Forever Evil -> Villains Month;
    • Endgame;
    • ...

    Should I include any other story arcs/events?

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

    If it is chronological shouldn't Zero Year be on top of the list? Also you're forgetting Batman Inc that runs along side Night of the Owls

    For me the new52 chronological order is as such;

    Batman: Zero Year
    Batman and Robin: Born to Kill
    Batman: Court/City of Owls
    Batman: Death of the Family
    Batman Inc: Demon Star/Gotham's Most Wanted
    Batman and Robin: Requiem
    Batman Eternal
    Batman and Robin: Hunt for Robin/Robin Rises
    Batman: Endgame

    So I'm a maladaptive perfectionist. And since writing lists is apparently the compulsion that I use as a coping mechanism, I've spent a lot of time working on a Batman Chronology. And if there's one thing I've learned it's that while it's not too hard to put together a basic chrono - particularly if you limit yourself to spine issues - like Bruce Primary titles, it's still pretty tricky, but you can get a pretty good general chrono going. But if you're looking for a True Chrono, and you want to factor in sidekick titles ... it's a mug's game. There's a lot of series, there's a lot of examples of subjective or sketchy placement and weird little bits of overlap.

    Not that it's stopping me. My Chrono goes all the way back to No Man's Land now and I've got solid arguments for every subjective placement.

    But it's surprisingly easy to keep a basic track of chronology in your head even if you read series separately. And probably far less tedious.

    I believe you're missing the Two Face-story from Batman and Robin; The Big Burn.

    Wouldn't Endgame come before Robin Rises?

    Not sure I'm a maladaptive perfectionist, but I definitely have own Batman chronology (tpb's mostly, but not only (I'll address key moments), non traded material is presumed to fill the gaps), which I'm pretty proud of. Plan to have a Superman one someday.

    I use the Batman one to account for other less Batman focused stories too like say Crisis on Infinite Earths or some JLA story....I think it's kinda my way of saying my DC world revolves around Batman.

    My Batman chrono is not New 52 accurate at all, but is more inspired by Morrison in that all is mostly treated as canon, so pre and post-COIE continuity rules govern (so Batman's Golden Age stories from Chronicles are in canon just as with Year One...all the Golden Age stories happened, perhaps in some way somewhat different from the actual issue (either due to a retelling I like, like Matt Wagner's stuff, or because it has something that doesn't jive with the modern Year One-created continuity)).

    I didn't read either of them, but you can roughly place their Vols.1 and 2 before Death of the Family, Vols.3 before Batman Inc, and Vols.4, 5, 6 etc between Inc and Endgame.

    There's no Robin in Endgame, sure, but there's no Iron-Bunny suit either. Hunt for Robin definitely takes place between Eternal and Endgame though, and Robin Rises carries straight on from Hunt for Robin.

    To be fair, chronologically that has parts in the past and present.

    It's entirely possible I'm just being slow witted here, but I can't see it on your list. Does that mean you're actively ignoring it, or that it somehow doesn't fit into a new 52 Batman timeline? Or that you're including it in Requiem?

    In a couple of years very little from New 52 will be seen as standouts...

    - Snyder/Capullo Batman
    - JHW Batwoman
    - Eternal
    - Parts of Batman & Robin, maybe

    Incorporated of course happened but that also kind of springs from another time. Then out of the dark ages we have the Enlightenment era that was Grayson, Batgirl, Academy etc, but these are so different I think they'll be viewed a transition into Convergence era. New 52 was a downer, I'm glad it's done.
