Where do you think Stevie is at right now? I like to think she moved up to being a very famous choreographer like Laurieann Gibson, and is doing awesome work with the likes of Beyonce, Madonna, and all those other pop/dance acts.

I still want her to come back to the X-Men. Maybe instead of sticking her on staff as a teacher, I think she can be a great teammate. IIRC, she was prettty authoratative in X-Tinction Agenda during that danger room case scenario with young Storm.

I rather like her to have developed her own life and career in a self-sufficient way, as always, proving that there is existence beyond X-Men and that a person can be a friend of them without the need to be straightaway involved in their day-to-day.

Claremont was great at fleshing out the human connections the X-men had. (Stevie, Moira etc). At this stage it seems the only reason a human is introduced is so they can be killed off down the track. It makes the X-Men feel much more isolated.

Yes, the New Mutants had human friends, they didn't do much, but it's better than anything recent.

I figure Stevie is probably still in North Salem at her dance studio, or is working as a big time choreographer. She probably stopped working for the X-Men-- as a dance teacher-- when the school no longer had any students in that state. There was no way she was moving to Massachusetts with the school.

I'm happy to see Stevie again, but... Why must every character have an awfully relevant position? Why can't she still be a simple dance teacher or something similar? Would that not be good enough for X-books? *yawn*
