Whatever happened to Stevie Hunter?

For those of you that don't know her Stevie Hunter was one of the X-Men and then later New Mutants human allies back in the 1980s. She was particularly close with characters like Storm and Kitty Pryde but I find it funny how a side character like this who had a lot of coverage over a short amount of time has not been featured at all in the comics recently. I find this a shame because she was a good character and I think it would be nice if she actually saw some of the X-Men from time to time but unfortunately we haven't seen or heard from her for many years. Maybe she should have popped up in the Storm solo series since they were close friends at one point. What do you all think?

I miss Stevie dearly. I want her to come back and join the X-Men. She doesn't need powers, I think she would be great on her own. Kitty and Storm are her closest friends. Her and Cecilia look a like too.

She didn't hate Stevie. She was just jealous of her and Kitty's relationship. After that Hellfire era, I think Storm learned to really love and respect Stevie.

I looked her up on Comic Book DB and it seems her last appearances were at Scott and Jean's wedding (probably as a guest in the background) and an Uncanny annual short story soon after.

Maybe Marvel should "reboot" her for the young 'uns, and write how she turned her l'il Westchester dance studio into a full-fledged Empire, and she is currently draped in furs and bling and gettin' into all sorts of mischief down in New Yawk City!

the last time i remember seeing stevie doing anything significant for the x-men...i think it was in x-force right after x-cutioner song.

she was sitting outside hugging sunspot and telling him she hoped he wasn't going to prison. professor x was inside debating on whether or not to call the police on his former students.

yeah she was a great dancer and I do miss her. I'm doing a read through blog of the X-Men comics and right now I'm in the mid-80s so I'm seeing her a lot. Too bad we don't see her anymore.
