You were Spider-Man then. You and Peter had agreed on it. But he came back right when you started feeling comfortable.
You know what it means when he comes back.
"You're not the better one, Peter. You're just older."

Amazing Spider-Man #305 Sep 1988
"Westward Woe!"
The Black Fox steals a priceless chalice and the chase is on! But this time there's someone else besides the wall-crawler hunting the Fox! The Prowler!
Hobie Brown needs the chalice to clear his wife's name in a criminal investigation!
The following night at the Long Beach docks; Spider-Man, the Prowler, the Black Fox, and Transcorp's gun-toting goons come together!
Script by David Michelinie. Pencils by Todd McFarlane http://www.comicsreporter.com/index....odd_mcfarlane/
At least MCU Peter was still smart enough to create the web-fluid and original web-shooters; he was just operating on very limited resources compared to MCU Tony because he was more "realistically" poor. More respect than Hobie got, which is why I've been hoping for a future animated or live-action appearance that does get to show his own genius. Getting played by Kingpin isn't that much of a shame when you realize Kingpin plays everybody in just about any incarnation, but not being able to make his own suit . . . Yeah, I would've liked it better myself if he'd turned to crime because he couldn't get anyone to take him seriously as an inventor and invest in his work, as a twist on his comics origin.
The spider is always on the hunt.
Good points!
To me the character would be an excellent candidate for a "Heroes for Hire" or "Silver Sable and the Wild Pack" series
