Bishop was great in the movie. I'd like to see him replace Cable in the current X-Force.
I liked Bishop before he was turned into Hope's assassin.
How you do like how he was shown in the movie? It was neat seeing him draw energy from Sunspot and Storm, and fighting of course. He had an accent too, though I am not sure what kind... French or Jamaican maybe?
The actor is French, so that's where the accent comes from.
Does anyone have any updates regarding the status of Bishop?
I was a Bishop fan as due to the 90's cartoon series "For the future!", and that western guitar riff they played as his theme song. His guest star in the Gen-X emplate arc was a favorite of mine. I do believe he has been misused in and since the messiah arc.
Yeah, poor Bish got a pretty raw deal.
He had some great fish out of water bits in the early comics. I have two fav Bishop moments.
The first happens just as he arrives at the mansion. He informs Prof X that his been send to stop an assassin and Xavier's like '...That's nice to know Bishop, now we're all going to a picnic.' and Bishop just like, 'WHAT?!' (That issue also featured the infamous boysenberry pie of DOOM.)
My second fav is the one where Bishop and Gambit went to the bar and had some quality father/son time. (Bishop drank Dr Pepper of course.)
Crazy how Bishop & Synch got raw deals after Scott Lodbell left the books.
I did enjoy CC writing Bishop.
I really enjoyed the John Ostrander Bishop stories, too.
