Now I'm excited to see a future writer feature an alternate universe where he DID turn full-on renegade. And "Age of Cyclopalypse" if you will. It has great potential because Cyclops was only a few character beats away from the dark side. AU!Cyclops and 616!Cyclops would be so close together that the character interactions would be really interesting.

Meh, 616!Cyclops really wasn't that close to Dark Side, really. If he was, if he would've either killed or sold out Eva already. Cyclops' whole "Oh noes, everyone but me deserves an umpteenth chance!" shtick doesn't come off as particularly dark, really.

What's even funnier is that Beast was joking about the revolution totally not happening. A few hours later, Maria Hill and Ororo Monroe pretty much got everyone killed to stop Cyclops or Malloy from getting people to join their non-revolution, lol.
