I'm tired of time displaced and alternate earth storylines. DisMarvel is getting so mixed up and ridiculous that a reboot really is on the possible horizon.. perhaps rebooting the universe and shifting all mutants fully into being inhumans...

Sage would be a peer but not an official X-Man initially. The other characters would fall into place down the line.

Wolverine can show up later as an independent merc mutant that comes to blows with the X-Men -- he doesn't immediately join up, but will eventually.

Beast could be an established scientist/scholar friend of Xavier's.

Nightcrawler is someone they meet in Germany as the supposed demon of the place causing trouble, before the X-Men figure out there's a real demon causing the problems, and he joins up after they take care of the problem together.

Emma Frost would be back at the Hellfire Club, but show up later as a problem for the X-Men, with her Hellions in tow -- she'd also have much chemistry with Banshee at the party where the two meet for the first time, before the two of them realize they're actually supposed to be enemies.

Yes, I know, I'm more or less repeating history, but I like history! XD

I like the newer characters like Jubilee, Chamber, Monet, Blindfold, etc., but I think the first class should be some of the more iconic mutants.

I like the O5 a lot, always have.

I have most, if not all, of the O5-centric mini series like Professor Xavier and the X-Men, X-Men: The Hidden Years, X-Men First Class, X-Men Season One, etc. and really enjoy All New X-Men.

People like the later characters just fine. Some of the most popular characters are newer. The other X-Men who joined later don't have any problems due to joining later. I see no reason to change the O5, and wouldn't want them to be changed.

I was joking, because there are tons of mutants who have been retconned into having worked with Xavier.

ForgetMeNot was always with the X-Men, they just didn't remember him. He was supposed to have taken part in ALL of their adventures.

Amelia Voight wasn't an X-Man proper, but she was Xavier's girlfriend and close confidant until Xavier had the idea of forming the X-Men, which makes her kind of a honorary Original.
