My Top Ten Marvel Heroes (have been and always will be regardless of what happens):
1. Steve Rogers: Captain America--the greatest hero of any MU (although, I will admit Ultimate Universe Steve was too much of a jerk and I blame Millar for not understanding the core of Steve's character)
2. Wanda Maximoff: the Scarlet Witch--has been a favorite since the days of Cap's Kooky Quartet (I prefer my Wanda as a lady who casts probability-altering 'hexes' [her original premise] and NOT as someone engaged in magic--chaos or otherwise. I usually ignore what Englehart did and moreso, I totally disregard Bendis's mishandling of the character--talk about NOT getting or understanding someone)
3. Clint Barton: Hawkeye
4. Janet van Dyne: the Wasp
5. Namor McKenzie: the Sub-Mariner (wish Marvel would use 'Sub-Mariner' again)
6. Natasha Romanov: the Black Widow
7. Peter Parker: Spider-Man
8. Ben Grimm: the ever-lovin', blue-eyed Thing "It's Clobbering Time!!"
9. Matt Murdock: Daredevil (I prefer the classic smart-aleck, wise-cracking DD of the Thomas/Colan era. THAT is DD)
10. Mar-Vell: Captain Marvel (accept NO substitutes--Mar-Vell was, IS, and always will be the best Captain Marvel there EVER was)
