Man, I really hope heroes don't kill heroes. I think we have had enough of that storyline. I hope the storyline will be much deep er than that tired idea. Its always better when they overcome the circumstances, unite, and save the day. It is possible to tell a good story without the deaths. Perhaps naive,...I hope not.

I want to believe this will end well, and all of these worlds find a new home, and that bringing back all these other worlds was for some storytelling good, not killing porn. I think it's time for a good story with something strongly resembling like a happy ending. I am hoping DC just uses this event to open the Who's Who library of the entire DCU and everything can be available again and that hefty $$ investment we have all made is still relevant to a possible future storyline.

Even keeping the old Crime Syndicate around would be cool. They made their choice to defend their world in COIE and it would be interesting if a new twist on villains, getting a second chance, actually changing their ways to be their world's champions.

a "battle world" of various heroes arbitrarily fighting each other is pretty much the lowest common denominator of crossovers.

I wonder myself who's going to win a future. That issue for sure confort me in the idea that an team with a new book in june happening on a new world has no chance to beat all of those guys with their big cities.

Seriously, I almost did not follow any Convergence news but the pitch "those guys on the cover having to fight other guys from other old DC universes" did not hide any surprises in the first two issues except the Injustice part. It was pleasant to read but has no reason so far to be the flaship of the event.

Yeah, it's almost like they just threw it together to cover a period when they were moving their offices from one end of the country to the other.

It would might be more interesting to have the heroes fight villains plus brainiac robots inside the domes. It was also weird cramming many heroes into 1 city.

Good riddance. If I ever see that insult to Superman again it will be too soon.

Yes, that's him indeed. One of the reasons I am buying the tie-ins for this but never even considered buying the main event.

Those are some of Lobdell's hallmarks.

much of this crossover seems to be written by the bottom of the barrel DC talent so far. i'm not sure why i should care if they don't care enough to use worthwhile writers. ugh just reading the lobdellness of this issue annoyed me (the way he introduces the characters with his stupid boxes rather than bothering to tell us through his writing).

I honestly didn't enjoy this or the tie in books. Tie in books was due to the art... but the over arcing concept isn't appealing to me either

Scott Lobdell being boring with a dated writing style? News to me!

For some weird reason, I thought Jeff King was somehow involved with Grayson, and that was gonna be the reason I picked this up, since he made a crap concept the best thing DC's publishing... and I now know I shouldn't bother. I was on the fence about whether or not to pick up this series, and with the tie-ins apparently not needing the audience to have read Convergence, screw it, I'll save my money.

Hahaha, yes! It's like he doesn't know how to introduce characters any other way. I bet the characters will continue to introduce themselves every issue of this series as well.

I for one, enjoyed the main title (Convergence #1). I like how the Earth 2 wonders were prominently featured and better written. I agree that the dialogue is a little cheesy (Telos'), but it also helped that the art is great! I could live without the #0 issue though! The tie-ins are hit or miss for me. Batgirl is too wordy with bad art. Atom is interesting but the art is sloppy. Superman, Justice League and Speed Force I liked. Harley Queen, Nightwing/Oracle and Batman and Robin were not bad but not great either. I have yet to read The Question and Teen Titans.

That line made me laugh. I can appreciate the cheesiness, but I'm simultaneously disappointed thus far.

I was assuming it was Superman from Injustice. Perhaps this is a dumb question, but has the Injustice comic added a lot to the story of the video game? The inclusion of a psychopathic, escaped Superman seemed like an oddly cheap/overly promotional way to start up an event comic; he didn't ever really seem all that imperious/outright murderously insane in the game, even towards the end.
