I've been itching to start a thread on food for months.
Let's share pictures of great food, family recipes and the best eating joints.
As the community here is global, it would be interesting to see delicacies from around the world.

I already ate 4 times today so...can someone else kindly get the ball rolling? XD

Well...I had some delicious Calamari for Lunch today. However for me, it's all about drinks. I've been drinking a lot of iced coffee recently. As for my favourite restaurants, there's this 50's Style Milkshake Bar in Wales-but I can't remember the name..

i had chicken rice today.
it's a signature Singaporean dish..although it does have roots from the chinese community IIRC
usually you have the option of roasted or steamed chicken..i prefer the latter cos i don't really like steamed chicken skin XD
the rice is cooked in garlic,ginger and chicken stock
served with some cucumber & tomato slices and hot sauce

Fascination with food, well fascinates me. I like foods that taste good and the like but food never crosses my mind unless I'm hungry. And many times even then it's very easy to ignore. Now when I'm hungry I might indulge a little though into what to eat but mostly it's just what will get the job done; protein and calories. Today I ate ramen noodles (by choice) for lunch and two grilled brauts in tortillas heated up from yesterday for dinner.

Now cooking and outdoor grilling I like doing. I just rarely eat. I get more satisfaction out of seeing other people enjoy my cooking then I do a full belly.

I had no idea you were a foodie! Great idea for a thread, though I'm not sure how much I can contribute.

Tonite's 'healthy' meal consisted of a Sonic banana shake and the last piece of oatmeal bar coconut cake I picked up from Whole Foods. I never had that cake before, but enjoyed it. It was kind of like a bran muffin, but not so branny, and the topping / icing was sort of like a German Chocolate cake, but not nearly as sweet or runny.
