even though she's been mishandled a lot I still vote:
Jean Grey/Phoenix
mostly off the strength of the past. There was always a more human side do Jean whereas Ororo can sometimes come off as cold and distant.

I started reading books after Jean was dead, but Storm has just been so unbearable lately.
