Default COFFIN HILL: Anyone else still reading?

Am I the last person still reading this book? Judging from the sales figures, I guess I'm pretty close to last. It's too bad - I'm really enjoying the current arc. #17 was so good it sent me back to re-read the arc from the beginning again. I don't do that often. I can't help but think this book would be far more successful if it had come from Image.

I bought the first few issues when they came out and thought they were interesting, but dropped it due to budget reasons. I've been trying to go back to it, but I'll wait until I get all the issues before I start reading the story again. I didn't realize it was doing poorly in sales? Are the trades sales doing ok?

Pretty much everything at Vertigo is doing poorly these days, I guess. I don't know anything about trade sales, but here's the single issue sales data from David Carter's write up at Comics Beat. Overall there's been a 75% decline since issue #1 and current numbers are definitely in the range where cancellation is more likely than not.

I still get it, but I'm a little behind in my reading. All the Vertigo books are going up to $3.99 in June, which will probably just help kill this book dead.

I love a lot of Vertigo books - Fables, Astro City, Hinterkind, Effigy. Suiciders has been cool. I wish more people loved Vertigo like I do.

I read the first few issues, thought it was alright, but lost track of it at some point. To be honest, I was more into the book for Miranda's art, which was first rate.

I'm still reading, and quite enjoying it. But with numbers like that, I expect the current arc to be the last.

Actually, they're bumping the price to $3.99 in June. Coffin Hill ain't going anywhere Anyway, still very much reading this, even after the price increase will still pick this up. The first arc was a bit so so but from then on in it has been very good.

Still reading, but I admit I am a little lost in it whenever the first story is connected to the current one.

Then let me point out that the figures dont count in the digital sales... which could be far better than the physical sales.

Well, that's that. Issue #21 solicited as final issue. Too bad - I really enjoyed it.

I'm still reading. I'm pretty sad about it ending even though I found the series generally underwhelming. It didn't feel like it was rushing towards an end the way that some of the series I'm following that are ending soon are, but it doesn't feel like it's being cut short like Hinterkind did.

I'm going to miss this and reread it.

I enjoyed the first two trades, I thought it actually could have worked that way and ended right there (well, with the end of the second big arc and minus the standalone stories.) I'd probably have read any other trades eventually but I just had too many other books grabbing my attention and less time these days to keep up with them all.

Will issue 21 (the final one) still be published? Cause I received an e-mail from my (european) comic book store that issue 21 will not be delivered and the series is cancelled.... I hope I will still get issue 21 in order to conclude the series...

Well, it's not listed on the Previews list. It's not on the Vertigo website.

And this info at this link says it's cancelled. http://www.comiclist.com/index.php/n...for-08-05-2015

I'm wondering what's going on, too.

Yeah, that's weird. Issue #20 could work as a final one, but this is weird.
