If true, then a bit of a surprise given how short this stint was.
Wishful thinking but it'd be nice to get Mark Doyle due to what he has helped do for DC's bat books.
In any event, Katie Kubert could just be moved up to fill in the gap.

katie kubert prides herself on not being that much of a fan of comics. to me, she would be a horrible choice.
Maybe, anything is possible - just seems fishy, you know? Just didn't seem like a short term thing - he seemed genuinely excited by the job when he first joined. It looked like he wated to make some changes - tighten up the editing side of things. This is one of the most sought after jobs in the industry.
It'll be interesting to see where he goes next. Back to DC might be an option. Image? IDW? Both might give him more freedom as an editor, but the pay will definitely be less.

Maybe somebody can tweet him why he resigned?
Dark does not mean deep.
Exactly and he most likely has a non-disclosure clause in his contract.
100% agreed!
And I actually forgot about Katie till you mentioned her.
Hopefully they'll promote internally...there's some great, young deputy editors waiting for a shot in the wings. Marvel has amazing talent, they just have to use it.
