I'm rather surprised Marvel fast tracked the reveal of She-Thor's identity after just eight months. If memory serves, they milked the secret identity of Red Hulk for close to two years (though I'm sure some figured it out sooner, I wasn't one of them), so this is quite startling.

Yeah I enjoyed the slow burn with Red-Hulk, but I think the pacing here has been fine. Secret Wars surely accelerated the reveal.

But isn't this Thor supposed to have alteady appeared in God of Thunder?

She was, but it was just an illustration of her that Old King Thor's granddaughters stumbled across in a book they found.

Loki already picked up the Hammer during Axis when he was "inverted" and he did not become a female Thor. The inversions were off-set (except for Iron Man, Havok and Sabretooth) and Loki is the only person with any memory of the incident. He looked like this:

Well, Thor CLAIMS to not remember, but I think he probably does and just doesn't want to admit it. also, Loki's inversion was not entirely reversed, for some reason. Most of it was, but his inability to lie remained. this proved to be problematic for him. But yeah, new Thor is not Loki, he's got his own issues that he's dealing with. He also did not appear in God of Thunder at all, and Aaron has said several times that whoever it is appeared in God of Thunder.

I know but this preview doesn't say she's back in the Avengers. In fact she's in her new non-Avenger costume. Am I missing something?

Note she has a Germanic first name, a Jewish surname, blue eyes and the same skin tone as Thor, a Norse god, and Dario Agger, a European (it is implied).

Have to echo what most of you have said about that artwork looking gorgeous. Can't wait for this.

When did Jane meet Dario Agger though?

And why is the new Thor going after Roxxon all the time if she is Jane? Would seem quite the stretch.

Added to that, wouldn't her nurses notice if she'd been disappearing from her bed?

That's not the Avengers. Some Avengers are there, but it's a list of women Thor suspects of wielding Mjolnir.
