    Default Mighty Avengers #10 spoilers

Great issue, and it really solidified this series as one of the best out for me.

    mini-synopsis:

    - Blade fights were-roosters
    - Gets taken down in a bloody way
    - Flash to Blue Marvel on the moon grieving with Uatu's wife (so well done) BM promises to find the killer
    - Flash to rest of the team (Falcon, Spectrum, and Cage) fighting Mindless Ones
    - Spectrum takes it down and Cage vows that they'll find who took down Uatu
    - Uatu's wife calms down Blue Marvel and gives him another task
    - Blue Marvel becomes the godfather to Uatu's child
    - Flash to Blade who has been captured by the Four Who Rule and is being prepared as a sacrifice

This is the bare bones of the issue though, and I beg everyone to read it. Probably my favorite issue of the series so far.

    A very good issue.

I especially like how Ewing adressed the fact that the Doc wasn't part of Original Sin. An almost fourth-wall-breaking reflexion (you weren't informed) and a justification for his absence.
And once again, Ewing reminds me of Gage: the way he uses the big events to develop his characters and do a bit of damage control about some things that don't make any sense (the Doc not being a major player in Original Sin)
Anyway, the whole thing with him and Ulana was beautifully written, touching and gave a good insight of the Watcher's culture.

I was less impressed with the Blade parts and I agree with him: the were-things are getting old really fast. Land did some good action scenes, though; he deserves at least that credit.

Not sure what to think about the Monica/Nextwave part, but I'm glad it's adressed.

Ewing does another outstanding issue. Really like how he's handling the Original Sin event and got a great character moment with Blue Marvel.

I laughed at the Monica Nextwave reference. Poor Ewing having to fix the continuity issues that no one else will address.

Deathwalker scenes were kind of weak but at least that plot is finally coming to a head.

If anyone is gonna make ridiculous plot threads into gold, its Ewing.

I say GOOD FOR YOU, Ewing.

    Good. For. You.

I honestly don't see how fans of Spectrum can complain at all. She has literally taken down every serious bad guy they've come across.

If Blade had half a brain, he would take her in a vampire-slaying tour. The girl can turn herself into sunlight, for Odin's sake.

I think that's why he came to her in the first place, for help, but as we saw in the first issue, she isn't fond of Blade or vampires.

Well, Aaron's lost is Ewing and our gain. It's nice to see Ewing tie this up with Original Sin in such an understanding manner.

    Great issue!

Blade's fight and him being sick of fighting were-creatures was funny.

I almost busted out laughing when Spectrum was referencing NextWave. During a teleconference I was in. And while I didn't have control of the mute button.

My favorite bits were the scenes with Blue Marvel and Ulana. Dr. Brashear dealing with the anger and the grief of losing his old friend, and Ulana talking him down and giving him a new purpose. Really good character work by Al Ewing on that. Also liked how they played on how alien the Watchers were, especially the contrast on how they deal with their dead. Love little touches like that in a story.

So I guess The Captain is out there somewhere waiting for a team to call.

    Ewing is on fire man.

I really see him moving up the ranks at Marvel.

His use of continuity without it being annoying is something ALL the other writers of Marvel should take note of.

Indisputably, Mighty Avengers is Marvel's best title, and Ewing is Marvel's best writer (just ahead of Peter David).

This was very well-written tie-in. Ewing was able to use the events of Original Sin nicely. I also actually enjoyed Land's art this time; perhaps because the issue had more males than females, so there weren't any gratuitous porn poses or tracing.

I'd squee with joy if the Captain showed up even in a cameo.
