Exactly. I think all of Marvel's most consistent titles should do that. Daredevil, Amazing Spider-Man, Invincible Iron Man, Wolverine, Avengers, Uncanny X-Men.. you know. Titles that have been around and are always around.

Maybe Deadpool too because why not

Little numbers aren't hard to do and I think they can make it so it's not confusing (although Marvel Two in One shows they screw up even regular numbering). Look at Bendis's Daredevil. Daredevil #50 says 430 below in small print. Keep that with big announcements for specific issues. Seriously, doesn't No Surrender go up to 690? How can they not do issue 700 ten issues later?

Still, I, too, think it'd be best if DD kept the legacy numbering and not needlessly start at yet a another number 1 especially since Soule's run is thankfully continuing.

Good. There's absolutely precedent (especially with Daredevil, I can't speak for the rest), but it made absolutely no sense not keep going with the Avengers Legacy numbering in some form. Avengers 700 will be November of December.

ETA: I guess the question is if DD is getting a new number one. I hope they stagger new number ones throughout the year for logical times and not just in September or October.

Apropos Defenders, I get why they changed the cover to issue 10 but it's a shame they did. Marquez absolutely outdid himself with the original version and I'm not even sure if it'll be a variant. It was so damn good.

Yeah I love that cover.. had it as my avatar for a little bit. I'm sure if it wasn't the final issue, it would have been kept. Would love to see Marquez continue drawing Daredevil or draw him again some day.
