“Now faith, hope, and love remain, and the greatest of these is love.”--1 Corinthians 13:13
“You had a dream; I have a plan”--Cyclops
“There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.”--The Doctor
That's a great Maleev montage! You put that together?
Say what you will about Bendis, but his Daredevil is nearly perfect.
What was it DD said hear, in an earlier panel?
"I am no longer protecting this city... I am running it."
Shivers down my spine!
Bendis' run on DD was one of the best, whether or not anyone wants to admit it. I had never felt so emotionally attached to a character until he started writing the series. I really really hope the upcoming TV show takes some stuff from that run.
Also, I don't get to say this enough, but Ed Brubaker's run on DD is seriously underrated. I'm not sure if anyone here will agree but I remember really enjoying some of his stories.

This is my favorite part of Waid's run lol
We need better comics
Agreed....an Waid is one of my top favorite writers. Spidey's (mask) face in that last panel...along with his line...cracks me up. I really like Waid's form of comedy.
How fares the book lately? I have all the trades up to his leaving for San Fran and have been reading the Previews. Hoping the prices at least stay stable through a hardbound issue so can afford it.
Have not read any other Daredevil material other than Waid, but that Bendis panel also looked good. Maybe I can get a rid to the library one day and check out his work.
Parental care is way exhausting. Gained insight into what my parents went through when I was a baby. Not fun, but what ya gonna do? (Read comics, obviously.)
I think the last four or five issues have been Waid's best. I'm so excited for the Purple Children arc.
And I want to echo the Brubaker love. I actually like his work on the title more than Bendis'.

Waid has done wonders with Daredevil's villains, from Bullseye to Stilt-Man. That Bullseye story with Ikari's introduction actually might be my favorite in the run so far.
Here's a question: Which writer or artist that hasn't done any extensive Daredevil work would you want to see the most? My answer is a fairly obvious one, but I have to go with Greg Rucka. He's by far my favorite writer working today, and it's right in his wheelhouse. He had a chance to do a few issues with Ed Brubaker, but I'd love to see him get a real crack at the title. As far as artists, it's a total dream pick, but I'd love to see Jock's take on The Man Without Fear.
