The fact that...
- he is an "architect" over at DC
- He made these comments, which are both awful
- comic book fans will be pissed and claim to boycott
- the movie will still make a billion
is all around sad.
Can you imagine Fiege making these comments?

It's a fake controversy that won't lead to much of anything. But if this is his mentality (and the mentality of the people at WB) it's easy to see what went so wrong with "Man of Steel" and I have no hopes for "BvS" or "Justice League."
Goyer come off as the classic example of the "cool" kid bashing others just to make himself look hip. The main problem is the people you are bashing ARE YOUR AUDIENCE IDIOT!!!!!!

That's been me for awhile, but this clinches it. Unfortunate.
Agree 100%. Way to go against the potential fan base Goyer in more ways than possibly imagined. I sure hope WB gets another writer and/or team to do justice with their characters. They deserve much better than this guy.
archer * magician *soldier * spy
I just LOVE that he pulls out the old tired cliche of "Your view doesn't matter if you haven't had sex... VIRGIN NERDS!!!"
Where does he seriously come off saying this?
He wrote Golden Age characters once!
Wow...something tells me that WB's going to feel the hurt from this soon enough.
Oh look, David S. Goyer showing how terrible he is, and not just as a writer this time.
... If they don't fire him immediately they're getting so much shit for this.
Once you get Chyna mentioned in the same breath with She Hulk you knew the convo was gonna head straight for the gutter.
The old "virgin" insult? I thought people realized even disgusting, hateful, physically repulsive, morbidly obese, mentally diseased, people with nasty personalities, and those with severe std's even have sex. Why it's considered some great achievement that nerds cannot possibly attain, I do not know, because society and history dictate that anyone can do it. Graduating high school is a more unlikely achievement.
Sadly I don't see this getting much fallout.
It'll be kept quiet and swept under the rug.
Unless of course some key people in the industry start speaking out.
Someone should forward this to KSD and Bendis.
Because we live in a world where sex, power and money are valued more than anything else.
All three go hand in hand, so if you have none of them you're deemed an outcast and worthless.
It's pathetic that this is the mindset.
Oh boy, those are sure some telling remarks from a guy whose worked both on the comics and the film adaptations. I wonder if its a pecking order thing because the Dark Knight getting an Oscar win. Then any other character is of no consequence in his eyes and deserving of ridicule. I would have hoped someone on the panel would have corrected him about She Hulk. Yes, she is derivative but I think Marvel was a bit forced into it to stop another company from using the name.
And yeah, I don't see Marvel Studios' Kevin Fiege being that flippant and disrespecting either.
