At work, so I can't read the article, is this for Marvel Studios? Or is it for Fox?

Studios, part of the article states,
"reinventing an existing Marvel superhero character or property for ABC,"
I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.

    Hrm.

Part of me wonders if they're trying to retool the long-gestating Runaways project into a TV series.

Part of me wonders if they're "reinventing" either Blade or the Punisher (but both seem like they'd be better suited to Netflix).

Cool. Thanks to both of you for the info. I wonder if this is that rumored Agents of SHIELD spinoff we've heard about. Possibly having to do with the Inhumans.

Runaways would be a good pick. I agree that Blade and Punisher belong on Netflix, as that's where Marvel is seemingly going to put their more adult-themed material.

Cool! I have an idea: Isaiah Bradley, the other Captain America.
That would fit perfectly with the themes he has worked with.

John Ridley has worked on TV as just a writer in shows like
    Third Watch
    Team Knight Rider
    Static Shock
    Justice League
    (TV series)
... and as a creator and writer only on
    American Crime (TV series)

maybe it's Moon Knight or Hellstorm or maybe even Hellcat.

you know this guy was one of my choices for TASM 3 before it went back to the MCU. if they would finally give spiderman a tv treatment he would've been my biggest choice.

I was thinking the same thing. Blade and Punisher have high body counts so Netflix would make sense.

Isaiah would be cool, but I lean more towards Eli Bradley and/or maybe Young Avengers.

    Moon Knight would be cool.

It could also be a Mockingbird spinoff. Marvel were developing a Mockingbird show for ABC family a few years back.

My first thought is Cloak and Dagger. I think it's something street-level, considering this guy is doing American Crime.

I really want that to happen, especially now that they cast Adrienne Pallicki. She's perfect as Mockingbird every single week.
