Damn. I was curious what Valiant 2012 would do with its Acclaim characters.

Get Warren Ellis or Johnathan Hickman to revamp them like they did with Wild Storm and X-men.

I liked Book of Shadow's last issue today. I'm hoping it gets a followup one day.

Planning to read X-O Unconquered #1 this afternoon when I get home.
I notice the solicit for #4 doesn't sound like a series conclusion as most titles are now just four issue minis essentially.
Might this new X-O break that trend and in doing so that sidelines the entire library for awhile.

I did read X-O Manowar Unconquered #1 this past Friday. The art is beautiful. The bullet point recap of Arics life should be enough if this were to be someones first ever X-O book.
The story itself was good but I can't pinpoint where it is taking place within the 2012 relaunch. Aric seems to have both arms so this series is between volumes or Aric has had his arm grown back through "reasons" yet to be explained.

Always good to see a return of the Vine, especially after such an absence.

Issue #5, will wonders never cease?!
The article mentions Gold Key but I've not seen any content from them since hearing they were coming back(was that during the pandemic or just before that was announced?) At any rate, has new Gold Key published any books? If so which titles?

I think the last time Gold Key was published was in 2019 by Dynamite.

Licensing deals, is this a good thing?
It does mean someone is paying them to use their characters on product, right?
    Revenue IN

Does it help the bleeding in any way?

Is terms of reaching more folks and not dealing with a toxic comic book fandom and stores-yes this is a good thing.

Especially those novels and if they are at least teen friendly.

The Julie Murphy Faith ones have done very well in the past.

If they could get say Kami Garcia or Jason Reynolds to do some books that would be even better.

It sounds like a good move in the short term. Licensing would help keep Valiant running and introducing its characters to a wider audience.

    https://bleedingcool.com/games/shado...-2024-release/

Blowfish Studios, along with Valiant Entertainment and DMG Entertainment, announced the return of Shadowman to gaming with Shadowman: Darque Legacy. The game will continue to build off the characters and setting from the iconic comic book series bringing a new dark adventure to PC and consoles where the titular character will have to put a stop to forces that look to doom everyone. We have more info below and the debut trailer, but the game won't be seen until sometime in 2024.
