Anyone ever read Big Max? I saw an ad for it on Acclaim Comics but they never published it. It was later released in 2006 by a company called MR Comics and I'm wondering if it's still related to PunX. Here's what Acclaim's solicits said:

    PUNX Special- Featuring Big Max!!
Written by Dan Slott, art by James Fry and Andrew Pepoy
Guess what? This isn't your mother's PunX, or your sister's, or your dog's for that matter. It's somethinq absolutely different and wild! Acclamation, Oregon has made a strange yet interesting urban renewal. In this special issue, Big Max tackles the two fisted terror, Knock-Knock, and the silent mastermind of crime known as the Mime! Get ready for the primate who's out to lower the crime rate! Twenty-two pages of grit-free, fun-filled, primate-packed power brought to you by Dan (Ren and Stimpy) Slott, James (Spider Man & Howard the Duck) Fry, Andrew Pepoy and a boss cover by Ty (Batman Adventures) Templeton!!

I'm going to dig my Visitor issues out and do one big re-read after I pick up those issues. I seem to recall the slow burn was finally showing promise at the end of issue #3.

All these Savage covers and info and issue #1 hasn't even hit yet fascinates me. They are really pushing him.

New interview about the upcoming Shadowman series. I'm hoping his time as Magpie will be explored.

I'm also hoping the Final Witness gets released.

I like that every issue of shadowman will read like a stand alone story. Kinda like how stories were told in the golden age.

Frankly, that's how it's supposed to be done in general.

    Got and read Savage #1

Valiant is trending in a 'one horse pony' direction.

PR rep to push heroes image.
First it was Livewire in 2019
Second was the XO relaunch late 2020
    Third is now Savage.

That aside I wasn't wowed by issue one nor was I wholly let down. It was just average. I'll see where they go.

Jumping back into Valiant with the 2020 books, and noticed there’s a character/title called Savage. Is he a Turok replacement? If so, who would be considered the replacements for Solar, and Magnus?

    /Doctor Strange/Captain Marvel\Scarlet Witch\
    /Iron Man/Captain Britain/Wasp\X-Men\

Savage works as a broad strokes replacement to Turok.

    Solar's replacement was Divinity.

While War Mother from the 4000 AD event could work as a replacement for Magnus.

If anyone is interested, Adventures in Poor Taste has Cullen Bunn on one of their podcast. He's writing Shadowman so they would talk about it.

Those characters are placeholders for Turok, Solar and Magnus.
They are fun characters to be sure but I for one welcome the day that the possibility of wholly, legally owning those 3 characters for use happens for Valiant.
