Steampunk comics?

Book three of Nemesis the Warlock by Pat Mills and Bryan Talbot is pretty much the first use of steampunk in comics. It's excellent, too.

Bryan Talbot (top man) did art for some and some of the writing for the Teknophage comics I mentioned later...so it may well be that he likes a bit of steam punk.

I was under the impression that there are collected editions of Girl Genius available in print. In the past, I have seen some at my LCS; but have never picked them up personally.

My preference when looking into a new (to me) series would be to look at an individual issue before committing to spending $'s on a tpb collection.

As for Girl Genius, I don't recall that name popping out on the shelf at comic book stores I've been to. (Would have to look again specifically for that, though.)
