Does anyone know if and why there's no Justice League Gods and Monsters: Wonder Woman instalment in July?
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Alan Scott: Green Lantern, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Jay Garrick: The Flash, Justice Society of America, Power Girl, Superman, Shazam, Titans, Wesley Dodds: Sandman, Wonder Woman, & World's Finest: Teen Titans.
Who's the blonde, with the guns and the H's, all over himself?
COMBINING THE BIGBADITUDE OF THANOS WITH CHEETAH'S FEROCITY, IS JANUS WONDER WOMAN'S GREATEST SUPERVILLAIN?...on WONDABUNGA!!! Look alive, Kangaliers!
Pants on Wonder Woman is a crime.

For kicks, I would be willing to wager a small box of jellybeans that it will not be Prince Hippolytos.
Hmm...
That seems interesting. You would be taking the "it's possible" and I would be taking "No way, Jose!"?
Maybe a son of Ares? I'm guessing that someone is going to challenge Wonder Woman for the right to be War; it just seems like a good reason for Diana to suddenly decide to travel to War's realm and learn how to do the job. And this could be why someone attacked Paradise Island using Ares' birds--they wanted to create the impression that being War was dangerous for Diana's people, so that she might be willing to yield the role, if there's a way to make that possible.
One of Ares' sons would be a logical candidate to want to claim the throne of War. This wouldn't necessarily exclude any of numberthirty's guesses, including Eros; I've always thought Eros might turn out to be Ares' son, though raised by Heph as his own.
Or, if not one of Ares' kids, here's an outside-the-box kind of guess (on which I would not be willing to bet even a single jellybean, but it's still fun to speculate):
Pretty obscure, and could be too much like the First Born, depending on how he's fleshed out--but the titan of destruction, if somehow freed from Tartarus (maybe in chaos following the fall of Hades?), seems a likely candidate to want to take over the War business. And since he's supposed to be the father of Hecate, this could be a natural followup to the Finches' first arc.Originally Posted by http://www.theoi.com/Titan/TitanPerses.html
To differentiate him from the First Born, he could be a different kind of Destruction--one who destroys for the sheer perverse joy of destruction, rather than out of hatred and bitterness, and with panache and cunning, rather than unbridled fury.
Another possibility along these lines could be Pallas:
Maybe he managed to return from Tartarus when his killer, Athena, went dormant for a couple of decades. If he was "the Titan-god of warcraft," it seems obvious that he'd want his realm back. Maybe (in the New 52) he controlled Ares' birds before Ares did, and that's why he was able to manipulate them into attacking the Amazons.Originally Posted by http://www.theoi.com/Titan/TitanPallas.html
