Does Anyone Find It Unsettling When A Superhero Refers To The City They Operate In As "Their City"?

Just so I'm clear, which I probably wasn't by the title, I'm refering to how certain superheroes act authoritarian when it comes to the cities they protect, which combined with the way they say "my city", can sound disturbing.

I can see where you're coming from in the abstract, but we're talking about superheroes, here. The reader (or the viewer) has already bought into the idea that they're generally portrayed the good guys. A little bit of territorial possessiveness isn't a big deal.
