Who says internet fandom never accomplishes anything? Good on Bendis for continuing the epic trolling, and good for Iceman. He's been background for most of his history, maybe now he'll get the push I've always thought he deserved (watching "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" as a kid).

Gay men retcon their lives all the time. Everyone thought I was straight for 18 years until I told them I wasn't.

I really enjoy the idea that Iceman is/was probably in the closet because he was a teenager in the 60's, but by bringing him to the present he feels a lot more comfortable coming out of the closet. But judging by the comments to this thread, it sounds like he'd still have his detractors...

This is a case of having your cake and eating it too. It only seems to be the time displaced Iceman rather than the main one(although I have no idea what happened to regular Iceman).

I have loved Iceman since I started reading the X-Men. I love him like a father loves a son. Bobby being gay doesn't change at all how I feel about him. I love him just as much now as I did when we first met.
