Which reads to me like Emma Frost knew the truth about Bobby Drake before Bobby even knew. She knew she couldn't get involved with him because he wasn't being honest with himself, but they were still good friends and could joke about what could have been. It reminds me a lot of a conversation in which a straight girl has feelings for a gay boy, but knows it can't go anywhere, which doesn't end with a kiss or anything..

Except that's not what happened in that issue. At all. Someone else posted that scan and got the story right.

I go by the actual story and what was presented. Not "alt narratives' that were never presented in the books.

Don't rightly know if they were asked, but Aaron was building something with Iceman and Firestar and then you had Warbird I think? chasing him throughout the run of Wolverine and the X-Men before they restarted the numbering again.

I wouldn't use Warbird as proof of Bobby being anything. She was explicitly stalking the man despite disinterest.

Iceman and Firestar, yes, that was a possible couple. Or, at least, a duo.
