Aquaman Appreciation!

I typically hate a bearded Aquaman but that cover just does it for me. I wish we got more costumes for Arthur on a regular basis. I see him having different looks for various occasions; an armored suit when going to war or battling threats against Atlantis, a more royal garb when in council meetings, the orange and green when out on the surface doing his hero thing. I always felt characters like Arthur and Diana should constantly be switching looks for the occasions.

I don't have a preference in the aqua-beard debate. But I will say, part of the problem, is it usually looks good initially, but then when new artists come on, they can't get the beard to look regal, and Arthur ends up looking like an old hobo.

True, but if King Shark doesn't sing about how he's a shark, Abnett WILL disappoint. Bad enough Percy already did a crap job with the character in Teen Titans.

I don't think he expected what happened to him to have effected her as much as it did.

He's just probably glad she's safe outside Atlantis.

I think Arthur's just dealing with the fact that he's stuck there. Getting back to Mera is probably on his mind, but you know, "how do I bring down the dome or escape it?" has to come first.

Aquaman is so good these days, Atlantis is really turning into a thing.

My big question is about that solicit cover. King Shark is coming. Well, if anyone has read Teen Titans ... King Shark is N.E.M.O. - he's on Manta's team. So the two questions that come to mind are; is N.E.M.O. able to get agents INTO the Crown of Thorns? and also; if N.E.M.O. has a presence, if Manta has a presence ... can we finally get Aqualad to have a presence?

I want both those things, for sure, especially if they can be organically sewn into the ongoing Atlantis/King Rath landscape.
