Wow, the annual is out this week? Still have to get to the comic shop over the weekend- been a hectic few weeks. Can't wait to dive into this.

It's different for sure. Hopefully I'll be able to read it tomorrow.

I’m really digging the awkwardness of the artwork and i love how Arthur talks about Atlantis as a superpower. Can’t wait to get it this week.

I saw JL and I think Momoa did a decent job as Aquaman. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing more of Atlantis. Although I do feel the Atlanteans were kinda brushed over in this movie, I hope that we get a more in depth look of Atlantis and the Atlanteans int he Aquaman solo film.
We are the Dora Milaje. We are the daughters of the 18 tribes of Wakanda. We are the teeth of the Panther God. Out of 10,000 years of sweat and bloodshed and battle are we born. We are the women of this ancient land. Deadliest of the species. And our time has come!

Momoa's Aquaman reminds of new 52 Superman oddly enough.

The annual took me by surprise--I really enjoyed it, and I don't usually have much interest in Black Mercy or "dream stories" either.

His hair is wet, and just about everyone's hair looks darker when wet. The lighting could be playing a role as well.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I like Jason Mamoa's look and his cool factor from the Khal Drogo. But if I am honest I was not happy with AquaBro. I think part of it is the same reason I didn't like Azzarello's WW: they seemed in their approach to take the position that the character was not good as designed and I just don't agree with that. We have seem some truly IMMACULATE Aquaman extensive runs (PAD, Jurgens, and Arcudi). Johns while decent also launched from the 'oh you think Aquaman talks to fish' Try Hard point of view as well. I think that talents like Waid and PAD and Jurgens were unapolagetically celebrating Aquaman's core powers and world without mocking them or taking the position that something is wrong with it.

I have hope for the movie because I liked what I saw of Mera and AquaBro together but I really hope that it is more Aquaman than AquaBro.

That doesn't even register as Aquaman for me. Sadly, I do think Momoa could pull off a more legit Arthur Curry if the film presented him as such.

I really enjoyed Momoa as Aquaman. He brought a lot of enthusiasm to the role, and even when he was broody earlier in the film he came across as tough as nails. I'm actually looking forward to the Aquaman solo film now! https://sirmarkussite.wordpress.com/...gue-in-review/

His hair should of been wet in the Gotham Harbor scene he still appeared to have blond present
