Japan seems to be also trying to control the hentai/loli fever. A little late, but better than never. I think it depends of the fans, I know at least in the west, everyone feels dissapointed.
On another note, I finished YYH, it's a good manga, though I feel the ending was whatever and the tournament arc at the end seemed a rehash of the first tournament arc. It's amazing, but I feel Hunter x Hunter is better.
Been a while, but I want to say that YYH's last bit was another case of editorial extension. Togashi was starting to have medical issues and had wanted to wrap it up earlier, but was asked to keep it going.
With Hunter x Hunter, Togashi applied what he learned doing Yu Yu Hakusho, as well as all the extra ideas he had that he could not work into YYH. It probably helps that YYH showed that Togashi knew what he was doing, and earned him the respect he needed to do HxH how he wants to do it.

How is Btoooom!? This series sounds interesting, but I understand there are some rape sequences in it, which puts me off.
The first volume of Tokyo Ghoul is well written. Early chunks of the second series -maybe the first 60 chapters- are well done with some rocky moments, but then it goes overboard with weirdness and nonsense. I enjoy what I'm reading up to chapter 116 of the second series, but it's slowly heading the way of Naruto and turning to unbearable nonsense I might end up dropping the series.
It has three 'O's in its name.
I saw the 12 episodes anime, and then saw the manga, some stuff from the adaption were trimmed out, and the rape visuals were toned down. From what I saw it's enjoyable, but not great.

I enjoyed book 2 of Rokka no Yuusha; a rare opportunity for me to officially read the source material past the anime adaptation. Finished just in time for book 3 to come out this month....
...at the same time that Record of Lodoss War novel 1 comes out in English for the first time. Feels unreal.
UQ Holder:
huh, so it's like Akamatsu caught wind of all the theories about how Kirie's reset power works by throwing them into an alternate timeline, and he decided to deliberately stamp that out.
So an enemy probably awaits them when they intercept the missile, but Cutlass says its not part of her faction, so a new enemy group?
Finished Recovery of a MMO Junkie, great stuff.
UQ Holder: That was cool action set piece that managed to include the entire cast.
The enemy seems like it has some robot/cyborg version of those shadow hands Yue summoned up earlier.
We even get some moral debate about intervening in these kinds of events and how far you can go.
And that's a really good cliffhanger. No undoing these actions.
Yeah, writing around Kirie's power is necessary sometimes if you want to preserve the tension.
I wonder if Kirie is going to be extra nervous, because does that mean she's straight up mortal until she creates a new one? Because I don't think all the other ones she's created in the past are permanent.
That is probably the case.
I imagine that one she creates a new one it overwrites the previous save point. Or maybe they have an expiration date.

I picked up the first two volumes of Dimension W by Yuji Iwahara after browsing the manga section at a comics store in Germany. I think it's really fun; it takes place in the 2070s, when Tesla's energy generating technology has been realized and implemented across the world. The protagonists are 'Collectors', who track down people who have illegal, unregistered 'coils' and apprehend them. The main character Kyoma reminds me a lot of a Shinichiro Watanabe protagonist, like Spike Spiegel or Mugen. And so far, his foil Mira -an android with emotions and the appearance of a young girl- reminds me a lot of Alita from Battle Angel Alita. So a lot of familiar ground here, but this is the type of story I'm really drawn to, and the art is lovely. So I'm curious to see where it will lead.
Take my dreams, childish and weak at the seams
