Not really specified but can we take some time to appreciate Ghost Rider 2099's design? Absolutely the coolest 2099 design I've seen.

    Talking Happy Birthday Howard Mackie!!!

    Web of Spider-Man #95 Dec 1992
"Storm Shadows" Part 1 of 4. Guest-starring Ghost Rider and Johnny Blaze.
The forces of good and evil gather in New York City for a bizarre night of all-out action! While taking the Hobgoblin to the police station,
the web-slinger and his prisoner are ambushed by the Demogoblin and the eight-legged doppelganger! So on the rooftops overlooking Manhattan,
    the goblins and the spiders battle for their lives…and other people's deaths! Meanwhile in the tunnels underneath Manhattan;
Johnny Blaze, Ghost Rider, and Venom track down Hag, Troll, and the Deathspawn for a savage struggle in the sewer system!

Powerfully the two conflicts merge at ground level in a midtown church…and the wild free-for-all gets even wilder!

Venom vs. the doppelganger! The Demogoblin vs. Ghost Rider! The Hobgoblin vs. the Deathspawn!
And of course, your friendly neighborhood Spider-man is caught in the middle of everything!

Script by Howard Mackie. Pencils by Alex Saviuk. Inks by Joe Rubinstein.

Ghost Rider & Blaze Spirits of Vengeance #5 Dec 1992
    "Chasing Shadows" Part 2 of 4. Guest-starring Spider-Man.
The rip-roaring battle among a host of heroes and villains continues below the streets! In the dampness and darkness of the New York sewer system,
the swarming Deathspawn gain the upper hand! And carry away the web-slinger, Hobgoblin, Demogoblin, doppelganger, and parish priest!

Thus leaving Johnny Blaze, Ghost Rider, and Venom to figure out where the Deathspawn have taken their prey!
However, the three anti-heroes are not overly interested in working together!

But as the old expression goes…the enemy of my enemy is my friend…and so forth!
Can the new trio of teammates find the amazing one and the goblins before it's too late?

Script by Howard Mackie. Pencils by Adam Kubert. Inks by Bill Reinhold.

    Web of Spider-Man #96 Jan 1993
"Enemies: A Hate Story" Part 3 of 4. Guest-starring Ghost Rider and Johnny Blaze.
The non-stop fighting rages on through the tunnels of Manhattan! The Amazing Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze,
Hobgoblin, Demogoblin, doppelganger, Venom, and the Deathspawn trade punches and counterpunches from cover to cover!
The fast and furious action begins with the wall-crawler trying to stave off the Deathspawn in order to save the parish priest!

While that desperate struggle takes place, the Demogoblin moves in for the kill on the Hobgoblin, and Venom wrestles with the pesky eight-legged doppelganger!
And elsewhere Johnny Blaze and Ghost Rider battle more Deathspawn to rescue the ill-fated citizens trapped in the tunnels!
Wow, chaos reigns to say the least! But finally the web-slinger lands some big shots on the Demogoblin and the Deathspawn to move closer to victory!

However Venom is still running wild down below! Who's going to take care of him? Ghost Rider…that's who!

Script by Howard Mackie. Art by Alex Saviuk (breakdowns), Joe Rubinstein (finishes), and Dan Panosian (finishes).

Ghost Rider & Blaze Spirits of Vengeance #6 Jan 1993
    "Last Rites" Part 4 of 4. Guest-starring Spider-Man.
In the final act of this four-part storyline, Ghost Rider and Venom wage a savage battle in the tunnels below Manhattan!
Venom appears to have the advantage…until he gets a taste of the hellfire!

However, before any finishing blows are delivered, the meddlesome Deathspawn interrupt the titanic clash!
And once again Venom, Ghost Rider, and Johnny Blaze find themselves having to work together to avoid becoming Hag and
Troll's sacrifices to Deathwatch! But the trio needs more than teamwork! They need the Spectacular Spider-Man!

When the web-slinger returns to the tunnels, the final showdown commences! Can the Spirits of Vengeance along with Venom and the wall-crawler defeat the spirits of death (watch)?

All these posts remind me how much I love this version of Johnny Blaze, I mean I enjoy him as Ghost Rider, but I’ll always like him better as the chain smoking, helfire shotgun welding, trench coat wearing, former Ghost Rider bad ass

All these recent issues including the recent revelation of GR in Thanos have been great.

Ghost Rider is on a hot streak right now.

The Cosmic Ghost Rider series looms great, no? Can’t wait for it to debut.
He could be the next Maestro, Miguel O’Hara, or Old Man Logan IMO
