Ouch.
Some people aren't going to be happy about this.
Hold those chains, Clark Kent
Bear the weight on your shoulders
Stand firm. Take the pain.
Ohh...Lois. Still doesn't explain why Clark dresses as a body builder though.
I wonder what made her do that. This should be interesting.
We need better comics
Ugh!
Unless Lois was mind controlled, possessed, or somehow impaired in her judgment, then this is a really crappy thing to do to Lois.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
--Lord Alfred Tennyson--
Well...I sure was wrong, lol. I honestly thought the tease in the Superman solicit was just your general chain-yanking that solicits are wont to do. Apologies to those I said were exaggerating. You were not.
I guess on the plus side this means she's back in the fold in a big way. Not in a way I'm sure Superman will be at all happy with though. Two sides to every story though, lets see if something forced her hand. I'm not going to get on the case of Lois fans who are annoyed though, you guys have been through the ringer a bit, I won't blame any of you for being pessimistic.

Huh.
Not sure how to take this.
On the one hand, what the hell DC? You cant do any better than that for Lois frikkin Lane? What BS. On another hand, there's no telling how this actually plays out. Its possible that Lois isnt as guilty as this makes her look. There's lots of ways that Lois might not really be herself; clones, magic, mind control, telepathy, time travel, or who knows what? She could even be framed for this, possibly by that mysterious guy from Johns' run who knows everything about Clark. It could even be that she broke the story to prevent someone else from doing it, and in that way exert a little control over how the details come out and are spun. For example, maybe some rival reporter figures it out, and Lois breaks the story first so that "Superman lied about who he is!" gets replaced with "Superman needed some well-deserved quiet time too!" We'll have to see how the story actually goes.
And then, there's a part of me that sees this as being a relatively in-character development for how she's been written in this continuity. Lois is supposed to be one of Clark's best friends, but we barely see them interact. They were close at one point (we know they almost hooked up before Lois started seeing that guy, whatshisname, John?) but since then, they've been drifting apart to the point we barely see Lois at all. There's not nearly as much emotional investment between them to ensure that Lois wouldnt act on the story. So if we take nostalgia and "the way things always were" out of the equation.....this is something I can see this version of Lois doing.
