So what did everyone think of the new issue? I enjoyed the focus on one character, but the ending really had me excited about the next one.
Anne Bonnie, Princess Ugg, Five Ghosts, Saga, Rat Queens, Groo, Goon, Usagi Yojimbo, Sixth Gun, Wasteland, Courtney Crumrin, Jonah Hex, Walking Dead, Manifest Destiny, God Hates Astronauts, Spread, Fearless Dawn, Nailbiter, Copperhead, Stray Bullets, Birthright, Bone, Lazarus
I just bought the last three issues and am saving them for a special day. But this is an awesome series.
I liked it but gotta say the placement felt random.
I mean this arc is more Dee since you know her husband is around and the mask was stolen from her religion. And Hannah not going over to the Dark Side because my god if Gehrig actually killed Sawyer, I dont think she come down from her dark side mode.
"It is wrong to assume that art needs the spectator in order to be. The film runs on without any eyes. The spectator cannot exist without it. It ensures his existence." -- James Douglas Morrison
I came on board a bit late and bought the first 5 issues after seeing the artwork - love Betty. Luckily this was just before the tv announcement came so I got the sets, gatefold cover, sketch covers and Fiona Staple variants at good deals (I think I have 3 of Fiona's #1s and 3 sketch covers). I still have to pick up the issue above but it's waiting for me.
Kings 21:23
And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.
Good Issue, kinda want to get back to the regular story though. Still I think its nice that Kurtis makes a wolrd that is a lot better on diversity then our own
I really enjoy this series, but gotta admit that I had a choice of comics to read last night, and passed on this one (hey--I've got all weekend to get to it!) as well as three others, because each one was so darkly colored. Wound up reading Sonja/Conan, which was not up to the enjoyment-standards of RQ, but at least it wasn't all murky grays and browns. Was a long week, and I needed some bright colors... & while I, too, would like to see a special devoted to each woman, I, too, "kinda want to get back to the regular story" sometime soon. If one can write "sometime soon" and "Rat Queens" in the same sentence....!

I don't know if you all follow Rat Queens on facebook, but wonderful art by Stjepan Sejic is shared there all the time. Here are some beautiful portraits he did of our ladies.

Apologies in advance for bringing this up & dragging the thread down temporarily, but I assume Roc has ownership in the series, correct? The art in the post above looks great and I'd like to get into the series but I don't want any of my money going to Roc for obvious reasons.
