So when is Maxima going to return?

Only fun fact I have in this regard was that Reign, the Worldkiller villain from Supergirl's rogue's gallery, was originally going to be a reimagined Maxima. Got changed at the last minute though. I would imagine its only a matter of time though.

What exactly is so cool or interesting about Maxima that she'd be worth revisiting? What's her best story in the Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis?

I want Maxima back as well. She was a really great character.

I do hope that, when they do bring her back, they rewrite her somewhat so that she isn't exclusively obsessed with marrying Superman. I like the idea of her being attracted to Superman and playing kind of a temptress role with him, but she's the queen of a massive star-spanning civilization. She should have larger and more impressive ambitions then JUST getting into bed with Superman.

I like the idea of her starting out as a villain, but then eventually becoming a hero and defending the Earth, as well. Maxima was at her best right around the time of her death, in my opinion. Her death was a noble sacrifice for a world that wasn't even hers. Truly worthy of a woman as strong as she was.

With Superman with Wonder Woman, it would be particularly amusing to see Maxima wanting Superman and competing with Wonder Woman. Though, again, I would like to see Maxima becoming a hero and even a friend to Diana.
