Default Which writer do you follow regardless of title?

I'm curious which writers people follow/purchase regardless of the title (in this case at the big two: Marvel/DC).

Right now for me at Marvel it's
    Bendis
    Hickman
    Waid
    Brubaker (retired from Marvel/DC?)
    Rucka
    Ellis

    At DC, it's been
    Johns
    Morrison
    Synder
    Simone

Anyone i'm not reading that I should be?

There are a few who might get me to try a book I wouldn't normally pick up, but I don't follow any writer religiously.
The ones who usually write stuff I like are:
    Kurt Busiek
    Peter David
Al Ewing (New guy who is going to be great)

There are plenty of other good writers, but those three write in a way that clicks with me.

Same . . . no one writer I can think of who'll cause me to buy a comic book regularly just because "_______________" is writing it.

I tried following Bendis, but the guy writes so much that I couldn't afford to follow everything he does.

I'm not dogmatic about anyone/anything, really. That said, I'll give anything a try by these peeps:

    Marvel

    Warren Ellis
    John Hickman
    Al Ewing
    Kieron Gillen
    Garth Ennis

    DC

    Grant Morrison
    Brian Azzarello
    Tom King
    Genevieve Valentine
    Tim Seeley
Neil Gaiman (soon to be at Marvel, as well)
    Garth Ennis
Gene Luan Yang (he has yet to do anything for DC, but I've enjoyed everything he's ever written)
    Kurt Busiek

Patsy Walker on TV! Patsy Walker in new comics! Patsy Walker in your brain! And Jessica Jones is the new Nancy! (Oh, and read the Comics Cube.)

I'm just talking about Marvel writers here.

    Bendis
    Remender
    Duggan
    Charles Soule
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
    Words to live by.

Hickman. I try pretty much anything.
PAD, as long as its super hero related. Even though I did try Fallen Angel and that was fun.
    I give Bendis a shot.
I think I have tried everything of Remender except for Fear Agent.
If I see Priest name I usually but it.

Rucka and David Walker might be added to this list after Lazarus and Shaft.

Cant forget G. Willow. I need to look for some of her older stuff.

I tend to follow characters more than writers. But I'll usually check out anything written by Bendis, DeConnick, Simone, Liu, Brubaker, Rucka. Also discovered Stejpan Sejic last year who's an amazing new writing talent. I've also liked Waid and Ewing on a few things I've checked out but neither has worked on anything with characters I like to follow yet.
Favorites: Natasha Romanova, Dinah Lance, Janet Van Dyne, Selina Kyle, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, Kate Bishop, Sharon Carter, Sue Storm Richards, Carol Danvers

I am the same. Some writers are amazing on one book, but just suck on another. It is all about the tone of the book they are writing, and some times that writers style and tone just do not fit with the character they are writing.

It used to be Morrison and Waid. Both guys have incredible imaginations (especially Morrison), but in different ways.
