So far Longbow Hunters has been pretty good.

I was worried it might feel dated but other than the references to crack (today it would probably be opiates or meth) it holds up pretty well.

Thanks. I really enjoyed Johns' New 52 JL run, so I've been picking the volumes up for my collection and these are the last ones I needed to complete the set. Not read any of the others before, so can't wait to jump in. Heard really good things about Johns' JSA.

I also stoped by my lcs today and picked up the recent Dark Horse release of the first volume of Gou Tanabe's manga adaptation of Lovecraft's At the Mountain's of Madness and Oni's release of Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt's follow up to the Sixth Gun, Shadow Roads Vol. 1.

It was a lovely day after the searing heat wave he just experienced, and I had the day off from work, so I drove over to my lcs and the used book store in the same village.

At my lcs, I picked up the following:

Descender Vol. 6

and out of their half price trades box, a copy of Titan Books collection of the James Bond strip adaptations, this one was for On Her Majesty's Secret Service

over at the book shop, they had a box of $1 trades they were blowing out and I picked up three:

The Files of Ms. Tree Vol. 1
Terry Moore's Echo Vol. 4
Martha Washington Saves the World.

They also had some other discounted trades, and I found a copy of Usagi Yojimbo Saga edition Vol. 6 for $9.
