i just finished sex criminals the other day and was surprised about how much i loved it. i originally passed on it because the premise sounded silly but decided to check it out after all the positive praise. i'm glad i did, i was cracking up the whole time. and seriously, where has chip zdarsky been all my life? i love his style.

I'd like to get that Martini Edition some day, when budget allows. You'll like those Fear Agent books, super fun and pretty deluxe packaging considering the low price and number of pages.

I never knew there was a collection of DC's early-70s Shadow series. I actually thought it was new until I got home and realized it was from 1989. I've found it going for expensive numbers online, but I lucked out. Got it for half the cover price ($19.95) because of the store's "Buy 2, Get A Third 50% Off" deal. I only wish it covered the whole series, but it's just the Michael Kaluta issues.



Recently at a shop I don't frequent that often, I stumbled across a box of TPBs and Hardcovers that are all 50% off. I'd never bought any Masterworks before, because the hardcovers are too expensive for me. But discovering these paperback versions for half off was a great find, so I had to snap them up.
