I’ve been dying for Betsy + Jean interactions, many people have this notion they dislike each other, but I see them as colleagues who really admire each other, and I want them to be close friends. I hope they function in a similar way to (or even more creatively than) Rachel and Betsy in Wood’s X-Men run. I want them to combine their powers, redirect each other’s energies, it will help them connect/bond and become closer. Always felt like psychics that work with each other are bound to form a strong bond. Their powers need to complement each other, with each woman specificing/focusing on an aspect of telepathy. — Jean is the shield, communicator/linker, strategist, and Betsy is the gun, infiltrator/illusionist, specialist, etc.

I really hope they stick with the red/orange/fiery effect for Jean and it becomes her default, kinda like Rachel’s. I never liked the pink for adult Jean, they can keep that for Jeen. It’s going to be important for visual differentiation between them when they use their powers in uncanny in terms of colors.

Her and Jean did some small things before back in the Outback days, and infrequently since. But many Psychics tend to boost, relay, or combine their powers to assist the other, not in the fastball special sense, but in the I'll add my strength to yours sense.

One of my favorite scenes is from CC's Uncanny X-men vol. 3 when Betsy and Rachel combine their telekinesis to shield a city. Betsy's pink energy was combined with Rachel's fiery orange energy (Rachel was also in her shadow form) that resulted in a beautiful color.

I'd love for them to work in tandem sometimes with their psychic abilities. I really hope that Betsy is written as using her abilities creatively. Since Remender began writing her, she's been on an upswing in getting creative with all of her abilities by most writers. At the least she's more well-rounded when fighting multiple opponents taking some down psychically and others physically all at the same time. In the 90s she would've tried to fight them all physically with only her psychic knife and may've gotten jobbed.

Honestly, I'm ok with it either way. Betsy's hair was purple in her OG body dating back to Captain Britain. The lavender didn't come into play until Nicieza's X-men run for that small amount of time that Revanche was around.

I'm kind of unsure about the double psi-blade. Is this going to be her major distinction from Kwannon who still has a psi-blade? I know she has the butterfly, but I'd rather have Betsy with one blade and butterfly and Kwannon with something different for a power signature.

I'm with Metal in that I don't really expect to see any major stuff with Kwannon right away. Sure, the Uncanny trio has mentioned Psylocke is one of the pivotal characters of the story but I feel it'll be all self reflection and her effectiveness in the team.

But I also feel like she's been getting drawn with double psi blades for the most part the last few years? I think Dodson, especially in most of his depictions of her, draw two as did Yu on his Astonishing cover.

Eh, when I hear the word lavender with Betsy, I think of the hue of Revanche's hair from the Nicieza era and associate Psylocke's darker hue as purple or violet.

Betsy can create all sort of psy-weapons along with butterfly aura. The many images of the psy-blades in recent covers probably just a reminder to people that the "white" Betsy Braddock is still the psychic-ninja Psylocke we all know.

As for Kwannon, I don't think Marvel has any idea what to do with her at the moment. Personally, i'd like her to revert to her original-self with Empathy power and different power signature than Betsy.

I would also like her to revert to empathy(perhaps a high-level empath) to stand out tbh, and maybe some low level telepathy . I think empathy is an underrated power in the X-verse, and can be an extremely useful ability if applied with the right writer.

Empathy is definitely underrated. I liked how it was used with James McAvoy's Charles Xavier. He felt the same feelings/pain as others when he was inside another's mind at times and it was important to access his powers properly when he used Cerebro.

LOL, I loved seeing her blonde for a moment during MiM. I wouldn't want her to stay blonde permanently though. As it is currently between the different hues the colorists are using, I'm just gonna say that she likes to dye her hair between purple and lavender due to the former fashion model qualities she still has.
