Can we get some stories involving Psylocke from her STRIKE era? It’d be a welcome change to seeing intelligence/spy organizations that’s not SHIELD, or MI 13. It’d be a fun way to put Psylocke in the company of other noir characters in the MU.

Can anyone make the moving avatars? I’d love one that flip flops between these two images. Thanks ahead of time. 0CCEDA9C-8B3E-4EA2-8C66-6A62761745D9.jpg02D001F2-845D-4D25-A971-A2877B2B6998.jpg

Funny enough the best STRIKE Version of Psylocke was in the Ultimates until she got squished.
Psylocke in the original non-retconned version of her being a badass STRIKE agent was more of a remote viewer, not the infiltrator of the Hellfire Club she got retconned into being. The same Retcon where she met Angel, but during Inferno they didn't speak to each other at all. She might have been a field agent, but considering how easily Slay Master took them down, I doubt they were some elite psychic combat squad, especially with Slaymaster having high will power, but no inherent Psychic Shields back then.
She would have functioned like the Psi-Ops agents in ROM Space Knight, silly costume and all.

    The goofy SHIELD PsiOps teams.

I bet when they get to the hospital the horror is something incredibly Silver Age lame, like the Mole Man stealing the patients' fruit baskets or something.

It would but how would they manage to showcase they're different psy weapons? British Betsy doesn't have a real katana either nowadays. A trademark for ninja Betsy. Apart from the psychic knife and the butterfly effect they look very different power wise.
A picture would last longer darling...

No it was actually pretty fuckin terrible. ROM was a Sci-fi horror book, and the Hospital was infested with Dire Wraiths. I mean INFESTED.

Why yes, yes she does. Lol.

I was able to make the gif for you here: https://ezgif.com/maker
If you want to make another one for yourself, you have to tweak the options, since this Forum only allows an avatar with a maximum size of 120 by 120 pixels or 39.1 KB (whichever is smaller).

The funny thing about the ROM Spaceknight books is the effect they had on the X-men.
The first super team ROM ever meets is the X-men.
His Neutralizer is the weapon Forge recreated to take away Storms powers, and other devices the Governments use to remove super powers from people.
Rogue tries to absorb his powers, but instead gets his innate goodness.
The Dire Wraiths come from his book etc.
The SHIELD/STRIKE Psi-teams make their first appearances here, etc.

It's okay, let's take it as a learning experience I knew of Bets time with STRIKE but I've never seen this panel or the... attire. Let us remember and pray the MCU or Marvel at large would never subject us to such horrors!

I hope wherever Betts ends up after this, the writer has a solid voice for Betsy. I’d hate to see her relegated back to the shadows, like she did in the 90’s when Jean came back.

She wasn't completely in the shadows, she just wasn't the headliner...

Thats not true. Psylocke rose in popularity in the 90s after Jean came back. She flourished in terms of exposure and being used. She didnt get removed from the books until the late 90s, when Jean herself was put in limbo. She's return did not relegate her to the shadows and its unfair to put that off on Jean
