Someone explain the Phoenix-Cyclops thing to me. Did that happen in this issue? What comic should I be reading to see that?

So, as someone who has only been reading x-books, this intro into the event was one big convoluted mess.

Hopefully it gets better (more clear) for people who haven't been keeping up with prelude books.

Secret Wars #1 continues directly from Avengers and New Avengers #44.

I hate to say it, but I do wish they had Franklin Richards dead, I mean A kid that powerful cannot live that long, no matter what the writer puts out.

Summers has had the Phoenix Egg for some time. We don't know how or when he got it. This issue, it was "ready to hatch." and then he became PhoenixClops yet again

For those of you on this thread that havent read TRO or New avengers or Avengers:

-domes form at each incursion site. We don't yet know what their purpose is, but several of us believe that's were pieces of Battleworld are harvested. We also know that NYC 616 and 1610 are going to be pieces of battleworld.

Therefore: don't count out anyone who was in that battle NOT making it to battleworld

Yeah artwork previews of other titles imply that other characters will survive. My theory is likely that only the ones in the Life Raft will have their original memories intact of Pre Battleworld. Doom will have altered the rest, possibly.

Actually occurs to me Cyclops is the only mutant in there? I foresee a lot of Complex fans sharpening their adamantium knives...

Storm is there, she's mention on the roster page.

Edit: Important to note: Cyclops still has pouches in his PF state also if Hickman is going by the Morrison interpretation of the PF use, then once the Universe ends so does the PF.

Cyclops
Star-Lord
Thor

Spider-man disappeared earlier so i assume he survives.

All the illuminati aside from Strange and Stark were on the raft. And it was up to Manifold to grab survivors Reed's plan got... blown up.
