Alrighty, this will be fairly quick one as I have twenty minutes before I must away to work but I reckon I can do this.

    Initial Thoughts/Notes:

    - Enemy team is pretty well rounded, not a lot of obvious weaknesses and they're quite offensively oriented. Fortunately, our primarily defensive build should be a good counter to this.
    - Koom Valley is chaotic, misty and in the midst of the mother of all storms. Combine all this with the kilometre distance between the two teams and this gets us some useful breathing space to start doing fun things.

Phase 01: Lock it down, lock it all down!
We're going with our usual layered shields formation as an opener. Being the fastest member of our team at the cap, Ah Gou will start things off as he has done so many times before, by throwing up Divine Power Monochrome to shield our team, turn off the powers of anyone foolish enough to get close to his power and destroy anyone who lacks significant durability who gets too close. Amped by the Gauntlets of Altwaal this will prevent the vast majority of attacks that will likely be thrown at our team from doing much of anything. Second up, Shiki will throw up a forcefield around our team as well, followed by Don Fua who will also add his own electromagnetic shields to the mix. Last of our significantly amped speed guys, Soo-Jin will be on guard with the Sword of Kamuu and her own natural anti-magic abilities to fend off, or at least blunt and reduce, the inevitable magical assault of Doctor Strange.

As for our more normal speed members, Eidolon will add his "unto a time-loop" level shields into the layered mix, rendering our team nigh untouchable. The Enlightened One will throw up Endless Reincarnation so any attacks that do make it through won't be able to do anything permanent and Colonel Next will aim to counter any psychic attacks and then alter our entire team's rate of travel through time so even the fastest members of the opposing side will be moving at a manageable speed level from the perspective of our team.

Results: Team defended and moving through dramatically slowed time.

    Phase 02: Make 'em hurt!

    Aaah, seven minutes left.

Okay, so here's how this goes, with the enemy team moving at a comparative crawl, our team will go on the offensive. Remaining within our shield configuration unless otherwise noted:

    - Shiki teleport shanks Dr Strange. His murderman abilities will cleave through any supernatural defences and Strange's kryptonian physiology for the kill.
    - Eidolon telefrags Val Amor's head into another dimension for the kill. Thus circumventing his mad kung fu and ridiculous sword defences.
    - Colonel Next psychically attacks Beta Ray Bill, reducing him to a vegetable. Shiki will finish him during clean-up.
    - Soo-Jin turns off Leasidhe's magical powers and attempts to seal the fragment of Phoenix Power in her, using Hope: The Sovereignity if we need a trump card. Once reduced to normal, she'll tear her apart with mountain splitting attacks.
    - The Enlightened One will hit Meggan with Transmigration of One exposing her to the sum total of humanity's suffering. Her empathic powers will make her all the more vulnerable to this and it will put her out of the fight. Shiki will double-tap to confirm during clean-up.
    - Don Fua will teleport-punch a black hole into Jamie's body from a distance, killing him and anyone else unfortunate enough to be standing near him.
    - Ah Gou will primarily blanket the area in Monochrome to hold the enemy team down to more managable levels.

    Contingencies:
    - Next on telepathy defence duty.
    - Eidolon on dimension dump rescue duty.
    - Defences are mostly listed in the strat.
    - If it comes to a scramble, Enlightened One drops Wheel of Judgement on the enemy team for free damage, Shiki goes for a construct stab frenzy while Next and Don Fua go to our usual timestop/blackhole punches for days combos.

And now I have to go to work, hope this makes it in.

The weather and the armies might not be too pretty, and this fight certainly won't be pretty either. Here痴 what our team has cooking this week:

    Round 1: Distract

Dr.Strange: Strange will open with a few mystic words that値l result in the entire opposing team, aside from the fusion, to experience a scarily realistic vision of their worst fear, incapacitating a majority of the opposing team for at least a few seconds. Immediately after this, he値l cast his typical speed spell on Beetle and Karate Kid.

Meggan: Alongside Strange痴 mystical spell, she値l utilize her own empathic and telepathic powers to contribute to the realness of the illusions. She値l avoid targeting Next as to not alert the opposing telepath to her presence.

Bill: He値l target the fusion via zooming towards him, hammer leader the way. Once close to the fusion, he値l generate a warp tunnel and bull rush the fusion through it with him. This lovely tunnel will result in the pair being far enough away in space to not even see the giant turtle that the Disc rests on, lightyears and light years away. Bill will immediately return, actually confronting the fusion only if necessary to return.

Beetle: He値l open up by attempting to transmute the entire opposing team into oxygen molecules, and will keep attempting to do so until the entire opposing team is taken out. If forced to, he値l focus on taking out Next.

Karate Kid: He値l be more reactionary, and be prepared to deal with any opposing character physically approaching our side, ready to wield Shield Breaker if necessary.

    Round 2: Destroy

Strange: Utilizing the time that the enemy team is distracted by their illusions, Strange will begin dimensionally dumping those that wouldn稚 be able to return. He値l begin with Ah Gou, then Colonel Next, taking him out easy. In support of the rest of the team, he then moves on to anyone else left in play with no particular order. He値l utilize specific spells against spirits/intangible beings like Don Fua if he stays intangible. He will also use the power of the Rod to Blast Shiki Tohno and anyone else in his way.

Meggan: Will change her slight manipulation into full out mental blasts, she値l attempt attacking the whole opposing team with telepathic blasts, focusing in on Colonel Next and Eidolon.

Bill: He値l target anyone in play with the full breadth of his abilities, his strength, time manipulation, energy powers, etc to take out anyone left in play. As he moves quickly through the battlefield, he will extend his shadow outward to ensnare anyone it comes in contact with, either draining their power or turning them into dust.

Beetle: Bring his own telepathy into the fray, and command any opposing team members that are weak to telepathy to attack other opposing team members.
If Beetle sees an opening, he will use all of the powers of the LoSH to shrink down to microscopic size, become invisible, intangible and undetectable. Moving at high speed, he will pass into the bodies of any enemy left standing and attack them from within. As soon as they are incapacitated, or worse, he will move on to the next one.

Karate Kid: He値l go after Lee Soo-Jin and use his own blade to counter hers and take her out.

    Round 3: Dispose

Strange and Bill will D-Dump any survivors.

    Notes:

All Actions, unless otherwise noted, will be performed at the highest speeds possible/allowable.

All Actions, unless otherwise noted, will be performed without delay and simultaneously and in concert with the rest of the team.

All Actions, unless otherwise noted, will be performed to the best of each team member痴 abilities.

All Actions, unless otherwise noted, will be performed cooperatively, with the team working together in support of each other.

All Defenses and shields will be up and ready. All psychic attacks countered by the combined efforts of Meggan, Strange and Blue Beetle. All temporal attacks will be countered by Bill and Strange. Any attempt to D-Dump will be countered by Strange.

Co-ordination is instantaneous via telepathic communication. This includes shared enhanced sensory and extra-sensory perceptions.

Scans will be provided as needed.

Okay, so this goes pretty well for us at a first glance.

Immediately after this, he’ll cast his typical speed spell on Beetle and Karate Kid.
Cool. So illusions appear for like... a fraction of a nanosecond and then are immediately snuffed out as Ah Gou activates Monochrome at the same time. Having a power that actively destroys magic is a useful plus here.

Meggan: Alongside Strange’s mystical spell, she’ll utilize her own empathic and telepathic powers to contribute to the realness of the illusions. She’ll avoid targeting Next as to not alert the opposing telepath to her presence.
Illusions which no longer exist, so no move.

Bill: He’ll target the fusion via zooming towards him, hammer leader the way. Once close to the fusion, he’ll generate a warp tunnel and bull rush the fusion through it with him. This lovely tunnel will result in the pair being far enough away in space to not even see the giant turtle that the Disc rests on, lightyears and light years away. Bill will immediately return, actually confronting the fusion only if necessary to return.
And he smashes straight into the Monochrome wall plus whatever other shields are up by the time he finds us. So he doesn't even get close to The Enlightened One, so technically another null move.

Hell, given how crazy our full shields are, there's a decent argument for this injuring Bill has he hits a composite shield that could likely weather the planet exploding on it at full speed. Ouch.

Beetle: He’ll open up by attempting to transmute the entire opposing team into oxygen molecules, and will keep attempting to do so until the entire opposing team is taken out. If forced to, he’ll focus on taking out Next.
Depending on how this transmutation is attempted, he'll likewise be stopped by our shields and he has to get in done before Next thinks and our team goes into ultra slow time.

Karate Kid: He’ll be more reactionary, and be prepared to deal with any opposing character physically approaching our side, ready to wield Shield Breaker if necessary.
    A third null move.

    And for the next phase?

    Round 2: Destroy

Strange: Utilizing the time that the enemy team is distracted by their illusions,
Time he doesn't get because no one is distracted and our team is now safe in our shields and operating on a temporal scale that he can't even perceive.

Strange will begin dimensionally dumping those that wouldn’t be able to return. He’ll begin with Ah Gou, then Colonel Next, taking him out easy.
Monochrome and time shenanigans mean he won't be able to this and Eidolon will just retrieve anyone who would have been theoretically dimension dumped.

In support of the rest of the team, he then moves on to anyone else left in play with no particular order. He’ll utilize specific spells against spirits/intangible beings like Don Fua if he stays intangible. He will also use the power of the Rod to Blast Shiki Tohno and anyone else in his way.
So, no defensive options taken and he's unable to attack our team due to the shield/time combo. This would leave him vulnerable to the teleport shank from Shiki on a different temporal transit rate than him. So he's down.

Meggan: Will change her slight manipulation into full out mental blasts, she’ll attempt attacking the whole opposing team with telepathic blasts, focusing in on Colonel Next and Eidolon.
Shield/Time combo stops this and Next is more than capable of combatting her telepathically because Ikonn's powers are that good. So she likewise takes no defensive options and gets hit by Transmigration of One and is destroyed by it and Shiki double-tapping her.

Bill: He’ll target anyone in play with the full breadth of his abilities, his strength, time manipulation, energy powers, etc to take out anyone left in play. As he moves quickly through the battlefield, he will extend his shadow outward to ensnare anyone it comes in contact with, either draining their power or turning them into dust.
If Bill is still conscious after colliding with our shields at FTL speeds, which he might well be as he's pretty tough, he gets psychic owned by Next and he has no one to target due to shield/time combo.

Beetle's TP is likely capable of throwing down with Ikonn, depending on which LoSH version this is (something I'd like clarification on actually) but shield/time means he has nothing to target and suddenly finds he has a black hole inside his head so he's dead too. No defensive options mentioned or noted outside of intangibility which won't help with a black hole.

Karate Kid: He’ll go after Lee Soo-Jin and use his own blade to counter hers and take her out.
This is a... terrible idea. Even outside of shield/time and Eidolon warping his head into another dimension, this was not a good plan. Soo-Jin only has the Sword of Kamuu to defend against magic. Unless I'm misremembering, Shieldbreaker's defensive power only works on opponents using weaponry. Soo-Jin's primary form of combat is her taekwando.

Ha, looking it up Shieldbreaker explicitly weakens people using it against hand-to-hand stuff, even including turning off other extant superpowers. So yeah... I'd argue that Karate Kid holding Shieldbreaker would get wrecked by Soo-Jin in normal combat because she's an insanely good hand-to-hand fighter and could just kick him in half while he's weakened.

But, as noted, his head is now in another dimension so it's irrelevant.

    Round 3: Dispose

Strange and Bill will D-Dump any survivors.
Since they're both dead, this doesn't happen either.

Plus Eidolon will just bring them back so this isn't even a good finisher.

So yeah, I think we win here. The enemy team essentially lets us have our first phase for free due to an impractical opening attack which puts our defensive position to a place that they can't deal with and they don't take any where near the defensive options required to offset our assault.

Also, Leasidhe isn't mentioned. Is she not in play this week or something?

    Either way, she's accounted for.

Any questions? This has gone well for something I knocked together in twenty minutes.

So as was pointed out in the other thread, the Discworld has a crazy-strong Magic field. And what wasn't mentioned in the other thread was they've said that was pretty much all that kept the Disc from collapsing under the weight of it's own impossibilities.

So if you destroy all the magic, does that mean you'll be blowing up big chunks of local space-time with your powers?

The double sheilding could effect all opening attacks against it at its level.

But an amped Strange and Bills energy manip/absorbtion could even it out if given the chance.

While Ah Gou's powers may have an adverse effect on the thaumaturgical makeup of the local area, I don't think it's a large enough area of effect to really effect the Disc or the outcome of the battle for that matter.

Quadrashields actually; Ah Gou, Shiki, Don Fua and Eidolon are all contributing a layer to the mix. Plus Soo-Jin using her own powers and the Sword of Kamuu to block any offensive magics which will be aided by Monochrome making everything that touches it massively weaker.

But an amped Strange and Bills energy manip/absorbtion could even it out if given the chance.
True, given time and a concerted effort, I imagine Bill and Strange could work their way through the shields. Unfortunately, neither get the chance to try more esoteric stuff because Strange's first move doesn't work and Bill's first move is to specifically physically charge at us, which will make him hit our shields pretty hard and likely hurt himself.

We admit that we didn't consider the shielding, however, turtleing under a shield has it's issues. They are attacking our team while behind a shield? Or are they just giving out team time to find the weakness in the shielding to attack them? Not to mention they are wasting efforts to attack the Leandersidhe who isn't yet officially on the team. Plus the issue of will their shield destroy the arena?

Monochrome and Soo-Jin's power nullification don't affect allies, as such our defenses against esoteric effects don't stop us from using our own.

So Shiki teleports out, Eidolon is sending something to another dimension and that's not a projectile that needs to go through the physical shields, Next is using telepathy, Don Fua is using teleportation to send something at your team.

None of those attacks should be blocked by our own shielding.

Not really, given that we are taking offensive actions and our team is working on a different temporal rate to your team so we have almost all the time in the world.

Not to mention they are wasting efforts to attack the Leandersidhe who isn't yet officially on the team.
Those "efforts" amount to "Soo-Jin turns her powers off and kills her". All your other team members are taken care of in addition to that so this is non-point.

Plus the issue of will their shield destroy the arena?
Monochrome is not going to destroy the Disc, it could if Ah Gou could stretch his range to effect the entire thing or the Turtle or the Elephants that support it, but he's not aiming that large so this is another non-point.

Koom Valley does have it's own impossibilities, Trolls the least of them. This place is like Yellowstone on crack during a huge storm after all, and practically everything on the disc is reliant on the local magic in one way or another. One of the biggest impossibilities: Dwarf Bread.

Now that said I'm firmly in the middle here. There's alot going on that I have to wrap my head around, and that's going to take some time, there are many good matches this week.

Out of curiosity, I was wondering how Soo-Jin could turn Lea's her powers off and kills her. First, sightlines are not so great, so being able to see Lea from the other side of a massive battle while hiding behind a shield would not have worked. Then, how would she have reached her to kill her assuming that it's even possible to kill an immortal? It's not Halloween after all.

Shame I didn't have Lea in play this time, it would have made for a more interesting match.
