There's also a Peter David novel (not a graphic one although it does include some illustrations from George Perez) from the 90s, "What Savage Beast" which is a bit of a what if? and gives a look at Bruce and Betty's relationship in a few ways.It also features elements from the 90's miniseries Hulk: Future Imperfect (a story which has a major impact on the current storyline).

The lead in to the Aaron run was the crossover "Fear Itself" which also featured Bruce and Betty (attempting to reconcile). Basically part of the reason Hulk and Banner split was because they were posessed by an evil spirit in a hammer (Similar thing happened to The Thing, Juggernaught and some other heroes and villains).
