What we used to call life has very little worth these days. Welcome to the very edge.

Years ago when i worked at blockbuster, my wife indicated that while she knew i hated horror movies, i should bring a bad horror movie home. The only one we had in the prerelease box was

And i thought "Well, it's based on lovecraft, how bad can it be?"
My god, there was literally nothing remotely competent about this film. From horrible direction, camera placement, acting, script, literaly everything about this was below the level of movies i made for classes in highschool.

2001: A Space Odyssey is the only movie I've ever felt like I wasted my time watching. I haven't seen a lot of the movies on this list though.

Well, unfortunately you are part of the audience that completely missed the ahead-of-its-time brilliance of that film. It's very unfortunate that you could not appreciate it. I will grant you that the reason why the ending of the film was crafted the way it was was because they were running out of time and money - that was a big blow to me when I fond out these facts...
2010 would be a better pill to swallow for you though it is an attemtp to "continue" this story

But actually I guess to describe those as sex scenes is not accurate--as it's the violation that's the hard thing to sit through with your sister right beside you.
I rented the original version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo when some family was down. Was kind of wishing I hadn't rented it during the rape scene. Although I've watched Clockwork Orange, Ninja Scroll, and Ichi the Killer with my sister and her friends before and didn't care. Went to Black Swan on Christmas with the family. Watched stuff like Blue Velvet, Re-Animator, and Oldboy with them too. Guess it can be kind of weird, but generally I don't care all that much if the movie itself is good; not like you're watching a porno with them. That being said, I wouldn't knowingly suggest something like Antichrist or Enter the Void.

I think I watched that like a year ago on Netflix. Yeah, it truly is awful. I just quit a few minutes into the movie.

A good bad movie is BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS (1970)--directed by Russ Meyer with a screenplay by Roger Ebert.

Battlefield Earth: the only movie i walked out of the theater near the end, i wanted a refund back.

Batman and Robin: I paid to see this when i was 16 and i felt raped for hours when i saw this movie and glad it was over as i wanted my money back, this killed the series and thank goodness 8 years later Nolan rebooted the series back to basics.

Dune: What a waste of time and money this $47 million mess was, poorly written poorly acted miscasted and poorly paced film. Sure it is stylish but too joyless, hollow, cold and overlong, even my uncle who saw this in theaters told me he had no idea what is going on in the past 30 minutes and he told me he saw some people walk out on this movie and at the end some people threw popcorn on the screen. I mean David Lynch is a good director but his attempt to make blockbusters just doesn't suit his style, i'm glad he went back to independent films with the quality blue velvet.

Leonard part 6: Im glad i didn't see this in theaters as a kid and waited for video, this was the worst film i ever saw before Battlefield Earth took number one spot.

Heaven's Gate: rented this overlong and overblown mess and thought it sucked.

Hulk (2003): a waste of time and i've been a long time hulk fan, this joyless and un-fun film isn't what i wanted. I'm glad they rebooted it with Incredible Hulk 2008 since it's a Marvel Studios film and not a Universal licensed film as Marvel Studios know how to please Marvel fans.

    ANd some others.

This. The Room is so bad that it's hilariously good. It still has midnight showings in some American Cinemas... so people can mock and laugh at it. It's comic (unwitting) genius:

It's less the avante garde ending and more the way that the scenes would drag on for what seems like forever, often without music or dialogue to fill the nothingness. I guess that's what the crew thought that space would be like., but I don't understand why they thought it would be entertaining.

I would recommend reading Arthur C. Clarke's novel of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. Or better yet, CHILDHOOD'S END.

The Room should never be on a list like this, it is the definition of so bad it's good.
