    It does not mean that.

But, Marvel and DC will tell you they're not doing reboots.

I think Disney is merging the Star Wars and Muppets universes, so that Fozzy can date more Ewoks.

No, that is most definitely not what is being planned.

That would be one seriously overcrowded fictional universe.

Joined universe owned by both Disney and WB?
Afraid these two giants don't like to share.

It's not a mean thing to do, it's good for some folks to drop titles if they like, and for newcomers to have a fresh non-convoluted start.

    I don't.

It was fun to think about as a child but when it happened ... I did not think it was very good.

I do miss those Tangent stories, though.

    They're not really rebooting.

I think they reboot all the time without it being official anyway. I mean OYL went from Gordon being white haired, limping on a cane to being his old self again. And it was supposed to be same timeline.

As cool as the amalgams were, I really would have preferred it, at the time, to see more crossing over and interaction between the Marvel & DC characters. Especially with the same talent that worked on those books. Two examples that spring immediately to mind: Dave Gibbons' Super Soldier (I forget who wrote it; sorry) & John Byrne's Amazon were great but I would have much rather seen a Gibbons Captain America/Superman and a Byrne Captain Marvel/Storm/(&Thor) team up.
