Yeah, Hollywood in general is just not that great at women, or people of color. We need to keep calling them out until they make it right(especially in a franchise that rose above those tendencies in the 70's and 80's and gave us great female and POC characters!!!!).

But that's true, I couldn't help but laugh at those!

They all are in character, with make up on...He appears to be injured on the trailer, so I assume that is his look on the movie. Other than that, he always had that crazy stare and is not how I imagined Sam to look at all.

You know, Sam, while being a coal mining Appalachian country boy, was always cast in a noble light. Even his initial period of working for Pierce was countered by the fact that he actually needed the money to support his family with his father being gone, and the fact that Pierce basically deceived him. Even still, Sam took a lot of responsibility for that and was always a helper, a supporter for the whole of the team. He was respectable in a lot of ways.

This Sam looks like a mess. Like a dirty redneck hick, who's been beaten or out fighting. Mean, soulless.
