It seems like it was going be based on Kevin Feige’s statement about Carol being bolstered by her female mentor being a big part of the movie. That female mentor was someone she met during her military career that inspired her to be hero. Originally Posted by WebLurker

I think that for a superhero origin story the hero’s inspiration should be one of the emphasis. Which is the case for just about all superhero origins. Originally Posted by WebLurker

Why does FOX have any say about this movie at this point? I thought everything already transitioned to Disney.
I hope this is just a rumor. Disney already had it listed as a 2019 release at CinemaCon.
