I always wish to see the actors transforming into the character.

So why didn't anyone send complaints when the lighter skinned image replaced the darker skinned image on Wiki? It's Wikipedia, it's the first place casuals go to check out the character when they hear he or she is included in a movie. So which representative image is chosen matters a LOT. And the reason I brought it up is that since it was allowed to remain on Wikipedia, that was the image Boone used while confirming the Sunspot casting.

Also, that wasn't the only time he was miscolored. Even New Avengers pulled this **** not even a year back and Marvel allowed light skinned depictions of Roberto for US Avengers initially, but this time Comics Alliance called them out: http://comicsalliance.com/sunspot-ne...-whitewashing/

I dont look on Wikipedia for Sunspot info not sure people who are fans of the character would check on it regularly. Why would a director who claims to be a fan use a site like Wikipedia to cast the movie. ANYWAY THE DIRECTOR CONFIRMED THAT HE KNEW SUNSPOT WAS AFRO-BRAZILIAN he purposefully miscast the FIRST BLACK XMAN. every site I see this movie on I make it a point to call him out.

Take this with a grain of salt but a poster on the X-Men reddit says that they "Had a chance to watch «New Mutants» sizzle trailer on CineEurope festival. It's f*@king amazing. I can say that it would be much darker than «Logan»."

It depends on the definition of "dark". If they are going straight up horror with this and also including Yana's backstory including the child rape aspect, then yeah, you could say it is darker than Logan.

As SomeCBFanboy said though, they haven't even started filming so how is a sizzle "trailer" possible? Unless it's completely schematics and cast and crew interviews.

A sizzle reel doesn't necessarily have any footage shot for the product. Here's a quote from an article about a failed Daredevil pitch from a few years ago:

Granted, sizzle reels aren’t composed of actual footage; they are spliced together pieces of film stock, bits of soundtrack, some concept art and, in this case, comic book panels that are meant to give the viewer a sense of tone and theme.

In art-school the 2D equivalent was called a "mood board". It was to give the feel of your ideas without doing much in the way of real creative work. So it could well be genuine, but it's just something thrown together to give the tone that the director is going for.
