I thought the same thing and this could be a bad sign. I mean, wasn't this movie part of a trilogy? Maybe they will make just one movie bc all this Fox/Marvel deal.
With just one movie, there's not time of a whole Illyana storyline so that's why they're adding more characters.

According to the article he's just in the post-credits scene, meaning he's in the movie for a few seconds to set up the sequel.

I also agree how will FOX have the time for a New Mutants trilogy? They delayed this movie's release by *over a year*. The clock was already ticking on the merger and they had maybe at most 2 years total. That would mean possibly a sequel to NM and probably never a trilogy. Now? One movie for sure. Unless we all get super fortunate and Disney is enlightened enough not to nuke everything.

Big problem with a "one and done" movie in this genre is that fans want to grow attached to the characters/themes/actors and have them return in a serial format but that won't happen if, as feared, Disney gives the ole "F U" to everything FOX set up

I think the leaking of the info re: Sinister was very peculiar and I'm not sure who did it or what the motivation was...

One guess = someone close to Boone wanting to give fans some clue as to what the original film could have been like

However I feel like this leak does damage because it just gets people even more frustrated, why tease us with stuff that now won't even happen and we won't even get the film for still over a year

We're all fans of this particular team hence the deep drawn line in the sand.But I'm probably the only with (maybe) "negative one-liners" The "negative" but truthful posts have been concise and hardly one-liners.
